Abstract

roll terdapat metode tangki U, fin aktif, bilge keel.

Movement of ships in the sea basically has 3 translational motion (surge,
sway and heave) and three rotational movement (roll, pitch, and yaw). In the fast
boats it is very common to have an impact on the stability of the ship. Various
studies done to increase the stability of the ship quickly. In the roll motion
contained U tank method, active fin, bilge keel. In connection with active fin, test
against the skeg is activated (active skeg). Installation of active skeg is one of the
efforts to reduce roll motion that occurs, which can be changed skeg corner. The
use of active skeg on a quick ship model testing done while in the pool seakeeping
test by simulating the regular wave in the longitudinal direction and diagonal test
pool. Movement of ship models captured by using the camera Qualisys. The
results obtained will be compared with a ship model testing without using active
anti roll skeg on a quick ship model.
From the test results can be concluded that the use of active skeg varied
corners without automatic movement, did little to dampen the movement of rollers
which occurred on a fast boat.
