Abstract

Senyawa kompleks dari ion kobal(II) dengan ligan turunan imidazol yaitu 2-metil imidazol dan 2,4,5-trifenil-1H-imidazol disintesis dengan metode solvotermal pada suhu 120 oC selama 24 jam. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis AAS dan mikrounsur C, H dan N diperoleh rumus molekul [(Co)2(2-metil imidazol)(H2O)10)].Cl4 dan [(Co)2(2,4,5-trifenil-1H-imidazol)(H2O)8)].Cl4. Nilai IC50 pada Senyawa kompleks [(Co)2(2-metil-imidazol)(H2O)10].Cl4 sebesar 0,699 µg/mL, melainkan pada [(Co)2(2,4,5-trifenil-imidazol)(H2O)8].Cl4 memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 0,492 µg/mL. Nilai IC50 yang dihasilkan dari senyawa kompleks ini mendekati nol atau kurang dari 100 ppm, sehingga senyawa kompleks tersebut dapat berpotensi sebagai agent anti kanker. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan FT-IR, analisis AAS dan mikrounsur, TGA, SEM, MTT Assay.
