Abstract

Didapatkan bahawa terjadi peningkatan nilai kapasitas sebesar dua kali lipat.

Indonesia consists of thousands of islands stretching from Sabang to Merauke. However, when telecommunications technology is developing very rapidly there are still many areas that have difficulty in accessing information. High Frequency (HF) is a communication system using radio waves that work on a frequency of 3-30 MHz with a wavelength of 1-10 m. HF is commonly used for long-distance radio communications because the wave properties can be reflected by the ionosphere layer, which is capable of transmitting 80 km to 600 km above the earth's surface, thus reaching far away without repeater. In this day and age where data rates play an important role in the development of information, new methods are needed to increase the rate of data needed in everyday life. HF Communication System using MIMO 2 × 2 method is one of the suitable alternative, especially in Indonesia which is still lagging behind. On the transmitter and receiver side, each has 2 antenna for Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) method for measuring process at Surabaya-Malang and Bandung-Surabaya location. The process of evaluating the performance of HF communication system with Alamouti scheme can take into account the channel capacity as the main parameter. It was found that there was a doubling in the value of capacity.
