Abstract

Baja tahan karat jenis super duplex tipe SA790 S32750 banyak digunakan di industri. Salah satu aplikasinya adalah sebagai material untuk pressure vessel. Baja tahan karat ini memiliki kombinasi sifat mekanik dan ketahanan korosi yang baik dikarenakan komposisi kimia dan kesetimbangan ferit-asutenit baja tahan karat duplex berubah karena adanya pengaruh panas pada proses pengelasan yang berpengaruh pada sifat mekanik dan ketahanan korosinya. Material akan dilakukan uji mikro struktur, uji sifat mekanis yaitu uji kekerasan dan uji kekuatan tarik. Pengujian korosi dilakukan dengan metode weight loss menggunakan larutan ferric chloride. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa nilai heat input yang digunakan semakin tinggi akan meningkatkan sifat mekanis dari material dan ketahanan korosi yang menurun. Spesimen GTAW heat input 0,8 KJ/mm memiliki jumlah ferit 48,7% dengan nilai kekerasan rata-rata tertinggi 286,7 HVN, kekuatan maksimum 778,28 MPa dan laju korosi sumuran 6,8472 mdd. Spesimen GTAW heat input 1,5 KJ/mm memiliki jumlah ferit 46,6% dengan nilai kekerasan 294,3 HVN, kekuatan maksimum 826,55 MPa, dan laju korosi sumuran 8,4341 mdd. Pada spesimen SMAW 0,8 KJ/mm memiliki nilai 45,5% dengan nilai kekerasan 291,7 HVN, kekuatan maksimum 781,98 MPa, laju korosi sumuran 8,4527 mdd dan spesimen SMAW heat input 1,5 KJ/mm memiliki jumlah ferit 42% dengan nilai kekerasan rata-rata tertinggi 297,3 HVN, kekuatan maksimum 828,98 MPa dan memiliki laju korosi sumuran sebesar 11,1756 mdd.

Super duplex stainless steel SA790 S32750 wide used in various industries. One of it’s application is for piping and pressure vessel. This stainless steel has both combination of good mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance because the chemical composition and balance between ferrite-austenite ratio. Duplex stainless steel can change because the influence of heat when welding process that can effect to mechanichal properties and corrosion resistance. Material testing micro-structure test, the mechanical properties, such as hardness testing, tensile strength. Corrosion testing was conducted using weight loss method by immerse the material into ferric chloride solution. From these results, it can be seen that the higher heat input can increase mechanical properties and decrease pitting corrosion resistance. Specimen using GTAW heat input 0.8 KJ/mm has number of ferrite 48.7% with the highest hardness value is HVN 286.7, maximum strength is 778.28 MPa and pitting corrosion rate is6.8472 mdd. GTAW specimen heat input 1.5 KJ/mm has number of ferrite 46,6% with the highest hardness value is HVN 294.3, maximum strength is 826.55 MPa, and pitting corrosion rate8.4341 mdd. SMAW specimen heat input 0.8 KJ/mm have number of ferrite 45.5% with the highest hardness value is HVN 291.7, maximum strength is 781.98 MPa, pitting corrosion rate 8.4527 mdd, and SMAW specimen heat input 1.5 KJ/mm has number of ferrite 42% with the highest hardness value is HVN 297.3, maximum strength is 828.98 MPa and pitting corrosion rate is 11.1756 mdd.
