Abstract

Sistem otomasi pada pabrik kelapa sawit merupakan sistem baru yang belum familiar bagi perusahaan kelapa sawit di dalam negeri. Padahal penggunaan sistem otomasi dapat melakukan efisiensi baik dari segi sumber daya listrik, memudahkan proses pekerjaan, menigkatkan kualitas produk dan menambah keamanaan pada proses produksi. Proses crude palm oil melewati beberapa proses yaitu bunch reception, perebusan (sterilization), penebahan (threshing), pelumatan (digestion), pemerasan (pressing), pemurdian (oil clarification), pengeringan (oil drying) dan penyimpanan. Untuk menjalankan sistem secara otomatis pada proses crude palm oil, diperlukan programmable logic control (PLC). Diagram ladder merupakan salah satu metode untuk memprogram PLC. Terdapat beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengkonstruksi diagram ladder, metode yang digunakan pada tugas akhir ini adalah Petri net. Sebuah model alur proses otomasi dari crude plam oil process dibuat dengan metode tersebut sehingga dapat digunakan untuk membuat rancangan konstruksi diagram ladderi yang dapat diimplementasikan pada PLC yang digunakan untuk crude palm oil process. Dari hasil konstruksi diagram ladder didapatkan diagram ladder sebanyak 198 rung yang terdiri dari 120 rung proses dan 78 rung output. Pada rung proses terdapat 11 buah timer dan 81 flag atau memori yang digunakan. ============ The automation system at the oil palm plant is a new system that is not familiar to oil palm companies in the country. Whereas the use of automation systems can perform efficiencies both in terms of electrical resources, facilitate the work process, improving the quality of products and provide an ease to the production process. The process of crude palm oil goes through several processes: bunch reception, boiling (sterilization), threshing, digestion, pressing, oil clarification, oil drying and storage. In order to run the system automatically in the crude palm oil process, programmable logic control (PLC) is required. Ladder diagram is one method to program PLC. There are several methods that can be used to construct ladder diagrams, the method used in this final project is Petri net. A process-driven automation model of the crude plam oil process is made by the method so that it can be used to construct a ladder diagram design that can be implemented on PLCs used for the crude palm oil process. Ladder diagram contruction results 198 rung that 120 of them are processes rungs, and the rest of them are output rungs. There are 11 timers and 81 flag or memory used in the processes rung.
