Abstract

Industri tahu dalam proses produksinya menghasilkan air limbah dengan karakteristik mengandung bahan organik yang tinggi. Akibat dari tingginya kandungan bahan organik dalam limbah industri tahu, akan menurunkan daya dukung lingkungan apabila dibuang langsung ke lingkungan. Pabrik tahu Asri di kota Probolinggo telah memiliki Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL), namun hanya terdapat unit Anaerobic Filter saja. Biogas yang dihasilkan juga dibuang ke lingkungan tanpa ada pemanfaatan. Kondisi sanitasi di permukiman tahu Asri dan Kecamatan Mayangan, Kota Probolinggo khususnya air limbah domestik masih di buang ke badan air langsung. Hal ini memperparah pencemaran lingkungan yang terjadi di wilayah sekitar pabrik tahu Asri dan badan air di kota Probolinggo yang berada di kecamatan Mayangan. Pengolahan air limbah domestik dan air limbah pabrik tahu Asri membutuhkan biaya yang besar. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan jaringan Sistem Penyaluran Air Limbah (SPAL) domestik, IPAL pabrik tahu Asri, pemanfaatan biogas hasil pengolahan, dan melakukan analisis kelayakan ekonomi dari pembangunan SPAL domestik dan IPAL pabrik tahu Asri. Perencanaan Sistem Pengelolaan Air Limbah Domestik (SPALD) dibagi menjadi dua yaitu Sistem Pengelolaan Air Limbah Domestik Terpusat (SPALDT) kecamatan Mayangan dan Sistem Pengelolaan Air Limbah Domestik Setempat (SPALDS) permukiman sekitar pabrik tahu. Pada SPALDT mampu melayani 40238 penduduk dan menggunakan unit Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) Bak Ekualisasi, Bak Pengendap 1, Tangki Aerasi, Bak Pengendap 2, Thickener, dan Sludge Drying Bed. Unit IPAL yang digunakan pada SPALDS terdapat Anaerobik Digester sebagai pengolahan awal limbah cair tahu kemudian dilanjutkan unit yang sama dengan SPALDT yaitu Bak Ekualisasi, Bak Pengendap 1, Tangki Aerasi, Bak Pengendap 2. Pelayanan SPALDS sesuai dengan kemampuan pendistribusian biogas pabrik tahu Asri yaitu 67 rumah. Semua efluen dari Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Domestik Terpusat (IPALDT) dan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Domestik Setempat IPALDS sudah memenuhi baku mutu limbah domestik. Analis Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) menunjukkan proyek SPALDT dan SPALS layak secara ekonomi.

The tofu industry in production process produces wastewater with characteristics containing high organic matter. The high content of organic matter in tofu industry wastewater will reduce the carrying capacity of the environment when disposed directly to the environment. The tofu factory in Probolinggo city already has Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL), but there is only an Anaerobic Filter unit. The resulting biogas is also discharged into the environment without any utilization. Sanitary conditions in the settlements around Asri Factory and District Mayangan in Probolinggo City especially domestic wastewater is still flowed to river directly. This is exacerbating environmental pollution that occurred in the area around Asri factory and district Mayangan. The domestic wastewater treatment and wastewater of Asri tofu factory cost a lot. Therefore, this plan aims to plan the network of Domestic Wastewater Distribution System (SPAL), IPAL of Asri tofu factory, the utilization of processing biogas, and to analyze the economic feasibility of the development of domestic SPAL and IPAL of Asri factory. The Planning of the Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD) is divided into two: the Centralized Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALDT) of Mayangan District and Local Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALDS) settlement around the tofu plant. SPALDT is able to serve 40238 residents and use Waste Water Treatment Wastewater Treatment (IPAL) Equalization Tank, Sedimentation 1, Aeration Tank, Sedimentation 2, Thickener, and Sludge Drying Bed. The IPAL unit used in SPALDS is an Anaerobic Digester as the initial treatment of liquid waste and then proceeded to the same unit as SPALDT such as Equalization Tank, Sedimentation 1, Aeration Tank, Sedimentation 2. SPALDS service in accordance with the ability of biogas distribution of Asri tofu factory that is 67 houses . All effluents from the Centralized Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPALDT) and the Local Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant Installation of IPALDS have met the domestic waste quality standards. Analyst Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) indicates SPALDT and SPALS projects are economically viable.
