Abstract

Koridor jalan A. Yani di Kota Surabaya adalah salah satu ruas jalan raya yang memiliki peran yang sangat penting karena merupakan salah satu akses utama masuk dan gerbang utama Kota Surabaya. Seiring waktu berjalan dan perkembangan, tingkat mobilitas kendaraan yang melalui ruas jalan ini terus meningkat. Jumlah kendaraan yang meningkat juga meningkatkan emisi gas yang bersifat mencemar, di antaranya yaitu Sulfur Dioksida (SO2), Nitrogen Dioksida (NO2), dan Karbon Dioksida (CO2). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa alokasi ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) yang ideal untuk menyerap gas-gas karbon dioksida tersebut secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif dan memecahkan masalah peningkatan gas karbon dioksida di koridor A. Yani. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah RTH yang ada masih belum mampu menyerap seluruh emisi CO2, jumlah yang mampu diserap hanya sebesar 75.533,46ton pertahun.

The A. Yani corridor in Surabaya is one of main road whose role is very important, because it is one of the main entrance access in and out of Surabaya. Along with flow of time and development, the vehicle mobility rate going through the road increases. The increasing number of vehicles also increases the emission of pollutant gasses, such as Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The goal of this research is to allocate a new ideal open urban space to absorb the carbon dioxide descriptively and quantitatively, and solve the increasing CO2problem at A. Yani corridor. The results from this research is that the current open green space is still not able to absorb the entire carbon dioxide emission. The amount of CO2 gas can be absorbed is only75.533,46tones peryear.
