Abstract

Salah satu metode untuk memonitor proses produksi dengan diagram
kontrol adalah dengan Statistical Process Control (SPC). PT XYZ
merupakan produsen pipa baja terbesar di Indonesia berdasarkan
kapasitas produksi. Meskipun sudah melakukan perbaikan. kualitas,
tetap masih ada produk yang cacat karena tidak memenuhi
karakteristik kualitas. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan
pengendalian kualitas produksi pipa ERW jenis pipa perabot di PT
XYZ menggunakan peta kendali p untuk proporsi cacat dan peta
kendali u untuk jumlah cacat hingga proses terkendali dan dianalisa
kapabilitas proses. Kemudian jenis cacat yang menjadi penyebab
dominan ketidaksesuaian dengan diagram pareto serta penyebab dari
ketidaksesuiana tersebut. Proses produksiberdasarkan karakteristik
kecacatan Juli 2014 menunjukkan pada periode tersebut terjadi
penurunan kualitas pda mesil MILL. Hasil analisis menunjukkan
bahwa nilai ˆ %PK p sebesar 0,6082; 0,62358; dan 0,23683 untuk peta p
dan 0,35698untuk peta u yang berarti proses belum kapabel.
Berdasarkan diagram paerto, jenis cacat yang paling mendominasi
pada produksi pipa ERW jenis perabot adalah cacat bengkok.
Adapun penyebabnya adalah human eror, material strip kurang
bagus, posisi roll berubah, las kasar, dan setel roll serta setel welded.

One method to monitor production processes with control charts is
the Statistical Process Control (SPC). PT XYZ is the largest steel
pipe manufacturer in Indonesia based on production capacity.
Although already make improvements. quality, there are still a
defective product because it does not meet the quality
characteristics. This research will be conducted ERW pipe
production quality control type of plumbing fixtures in PT XYZ using
u control chart to the process control and process capability
analysis. Then the types of defects that become dominant cause
incompatibility with the Pareto diagram and the causes of the
conformities. The production process is based on the characteristics
of disability in the period from July 2014 show that a decline in the
quality of MILL machine. The analysis showed that the value of
0.35698 <1 which means that the process is not capable. Based on
the diagram paerto, the most dominating type of defect in the
production of ERW pipe is deformed crooked type furnishings. As for
the cause was human error, lack of good material strip, roll
changing position, welding rough, and set the roll and set welded.
