Abstract

The United States Department of Transportation pada tahun 2015 menyatakan pesawat sebagai moda transportasi paling aman jika dibandingkan dengan mobil, kereta, dan kapal. Hal tersebut menjadikan salah satu alasan semakin meningkatnya pengguna moda pesawat terbang. Dalam transportasi udara yang satu ini, runway merupakan pusat terjadinya kegiatan takeoff dan landing pesawat. Data angin menjadi patokan utama dalam menentukan orientasi suatu runway. Berdasarkan laporan studi yang sebelumnya, terjadi penurunan utilitas runway sebesar 2,5% yang disebabkan oleh pengaruh data angin baru terhadap orientasi runway eksisting. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan studi untuk menentukan periode data angin yang harus dimiliki saat perencanaan runway agar runway yang digunakan tidak menyebabkan kegagalan dalam operasional penerbangan. Ada beberapa variasi periode data yang digunakan, yaitu 1 bulan, 1 tahun, 5 tahun, 10 tahun, dan 20 tahun. Studi dilakukan di 5 bandara di Indonesia, yaitu Bandara Sultan Syarif Kasim II, Bandara Achmad Yani, Bandara Syamsudin Noor, Bandara Sam Ratulangi, dan Bandara Sentani. Setelah dilakukan analisis, masing-masing bandara memberikan hasil yang relatif sama untuk tren periode data 1 tahun, 5 tahun, dan 10 tahun. Sehingga periode data 1 tahun keatas dapat dijadikan dasar dalam perencanaan suatu runway dengan tetap memperhatikan syarat wind coverage minimal adalah 95%.

The United States Department of Transportation in 2015 declared the aircraft as the safest mode of transportation compared to cars, trains and ships. This makes it one reason for the increasing number of aircraft mode users. In the operation of an airport, runway is the center of the takeoff and landing of an aircraft. Wind data is the basis in determining the orientation of a runway. Based on a study report previously, there was a decrease in runway utility by 2.5% due to the influence of new wind data on the orientation of the existing runway. In this final project, a study was conducted to determine the period of wind data that must be owned during runway planning so that the using of a runway does not cause failure in flight operations. There are several variations in the period of data that going to be used, such as 1 month, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, and 20 years. The study was conducted at 5 airports in Indonesia, namely Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport, Achmad Yani Airport, Syamsudin Noor Airport, Sam Ratulangi Airport, and Sentani Airport. After analysis, each airport gives relatively the same results for trends in the data period of 1 year, 5 years and 10 years. So that the data period of 1 year and above can be used as the basis for planning a runway while still paying attention to the minimum wind coverage requirements of 95%.
