Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan chassis traktor angkut hasil pertanian. Desain chassis yang dibuat menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan di pedesaan. Pedesaan mempunyai jalan yang beragam seperti tanjakan, turunan, berbatu, berpasir, berlumpur, dan jalan yang sempit. Chassis dapat dibangun dari komponen yang ada di sekitar. Chassis harus mendukung kendaraan untuk dapat berbelok dengan sudut yang kecil, menghindari chassis mengalami puntir akibat jalan yang tidak rata, dan memastikan semua roda dapat menapak dengan sempurna.
Langkah desain yang dilakukan yaitu menentukan spesifikasi perancangan berupa dimensi, batasan beban, mekanisme gerak dan belok, bentuk, dan material. Pembuatan model 3 dimensi untuk menerjemahkan spesifikasi perancangan dalam bentuk chassis. Analisa dilakukan dalam empat kondisi yaitu kecepatan konstan, akselerasi, pengereman, dan belok. Analisa dilakukan menggunakan Finite Element Methode untuk mencari von-Mises stress dan safety factor dari pada setiap kondisi.
Hasil yang didapatkan dari perancangan ini adalah dimensi chassis lebar 550 mm dan panjang 2150 mm, chassis jenis ladder frame, model chasssis articulated frame. Material chassis adalah ASTM A36 steel dengan profil tube square dan l-angle equal berdimensi 50 x 50 x 3,2 mm. Hasil yang didapatkan dari analisa yaitu von-Mises stress terbesar ada pada kondisi belok yaitu sebesar 164,4 MPa dengan safety factor 1,66 sedangkan von-Mises stress terkecil ada pada kondisi kecepatan konstan yaitu sebesar 95,3 MPa dengan safety factor 2,88.

This study discusses the design of agricultural product transporters tractor chassis. The design of the chassis which made adjusting to the needs on the countryside. The countryside have varied roads that as upcend and derivatives, Rocky, Sandy, muddy, and the narrow streets. The chassis can be built from the components that are all around. The chassis must support vehicles to be able to turn with a small angle, avoiding the chassis suffered a bending due to uneven roads, and making sure all wheels can be perfect tread.
Step of the design is determining specifications of design in the form of dimensions, load limits, mechanisms of motion and turn, shapes and material. Three-dimensional modelling to translate design specifications in the form of chassis. The analysis was conducted in the four conditions, namely a constant speed, accelerate, braking, and turning. The analysis was conducted using the Finite Element Method to search von-Mises stress and safety factor than on each conditions.
The result of this design is the dimension of the chassis width 550 mm and length 2150 mm, ladder frame type of chassis, and articulated frame chasssis model. chassis Material from ASTM A36 steel with tube square profile and l-angle equal with dimention 50 x 50 x 3,2 mm. The results obtained from the analysis is the biggest von-Mises stress there is on turn condition that is 164,4 MPa with safety factor 1,66, while the smallest von-Mises stress there is on constant velocity condition that is of 95,3 MPa with safety factor 2,88.
