Abstract

Tuban Regency is an area in East Java that has the potential of mining clay and limestone as raw material for making cement. Rice Fish Culture System (RFCS) can increase productivity because in addition to producing rice, it can also produce fish. RFCS successfully provides benefits in various aspects such as social, ecological, and economic. The purpose of this study was to determine rice productivity in the application of the RFCS method on ex-mining land and to determine the effect of different media treatments on rice produced. Test parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, root length, wet weight, dry weight, chlorophyll content, stomata density, and seed weight. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using ANOVA in accordance with the Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RALF) and then continued with the Tukey test. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the best growth is in the treatment of planting media with a ratio of ex-mining land: surface soil = 1: 1 during the 110-day planting period (B110) which is with an average plant height of 87.53f ± 4.955 cm, number of leaves 6,80cde ± 1,740 cm, root length 23,46cde ± 3,642 cm, plant wet weight 14,3bc ± 4,445 grams, plant dry weight 5,33bcd ± 1,543 grams, stomata density 109,77d ± 19,011 mm2 and chlorophyll content 28,72a ± 12,740 mg / L. The highest seed weight is in the treatment of planting media with the ratio of ex-mining land: surface soil = 0: 1 (C) which is equal to 0,022c ± 0,005 grams / seed and weighs 1000 seeds at 22 grams.
