Abstract

Arc flash merupakan kejadian berbahaya yang dapat terjadi pada
sistem kelistrikan industri. Besarnya nilai insiden energi arc flash
dipengaruhi oleh lamanya faut clearing time (FCT). Berdasar pada
standar koordinasi proteksi yang memberikan perbedaan waktu untuk
operasi CB, maka hal ini sangat mempengaruhi besarnya nilai insiden
energi. Semakin jauh dari beban, maka bahaya yang ditimbulkan akan
semakin besar. Zone Selective Interlocking (ZSI) adalah sebuah metode
pengurangan energi arc flash yang efektif dan relatif murah. Fokus dari
metode ZSI untuk mempercepat waktu tripping pada beberapa kesalahan
tanpa mengorbankan koordinasi selektif dan interjecting gangguan
kedalam sistem. Dengan mampu lebih cepat membuka CB pada kondisi
short-circuit atau ground-fault, tekanan (termal dan mekanik) pada sistem
listrik dapat dikurangi. Pada tugas akhir ini metode ZSI diterapkan pada
sistem kelistrikan PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III tegangan 0,4 kV. ZSI
mampu mengurangi nilai insiden energi arc flash pada bus MCC-6A.1
sebesar 65,77%, bus MCC-6A sebesar 80,08%, bus MCC-29/4.1 sebesar
65,77%, bus MCC-29/4 sebesar 79,95%, dan bus MCC-4 sebesar 68,62%.

Arc flash is a dangerous incident that can occur in industrial
electrical systems. The value of arc flash incident energy is influenced by
the length of faut clearing time (FCT). Based on the coordination of
standards protection that gives time difference for CB operation, then it
greatly affects the value of the incident energy. Getting away from the
load, then the danger posed will be greater. Zone Selective Interlocking
(ZSI) is a method of reducing arc flash energy effective and relatively
inexpensive. The focus of ZSI method to speed up tripping on some fault
without sacrificing selective coordination and interference interjecting
into the system. By being able to more quickly open a CB on the condition
of short-circuit or ground-fault, the pressure (thermal and mechanical)
on the electrical system can be reduced. In this final project ZSI method
applied to the electrical system of the PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III
voltage of 0,4 kV. ZSI was able to reduce the value of arc flash incident
energy on the MCC bus-6A.1 amounting 65,77%, MCC bus-6A
amounting 80,08%, bus MCC-29 / 4.1 amounting 65,77%, bus MCC-29/4
amounting 79,95%, and the MCC bus -4 amounting 68,62%.
