Abstract

Pada sistem distribusi umumnya, mayoritas beban ialah beban
industri 3 fasa. Sering ditemui fenomena beban yang selalu berubah –
ubah dan tak seimbang pada setiap fasanya. Secara teori, fenomena
ketakseimbangan beban menyebabkan arus memiliki 3 komponen, yaitu
arus urutan positif, arus urutan negatif, dan arus urutan nol. Telah
diketahui bahwa arus urutan negatif dapat menurunkan performa bahkan
hingga merusak sistem generator. Disamping itu, turbin generator dapat
memiliki masalah yang serius jika terjadi arus urutan negatif. Dampak
dari arus urutan negatif dapat dikurangi jika arus yang mengarah ke
sumber tersebut dapat dikompensasi atau diblok. Pada tugas akhir ini akan
membahas perancangan Static VAR Compensator (SVC) tipe Fixed
Capacitor – Thyristor Controlled Reactor (FC – TCR) untuk mereduksi
arus urutan negatif yang timbul akibat ketakseimbangan beban. Metode
yang digunakan yaitu metode komponen simetri. Dari hasil simulasi pada
kondisi sistem tak seimbang, didapatkan nilai arus urutan negatif sebesar
2,2 A dengan presentase ketakseimbangan sebesar 28%. Setelah
terpasang SVC, didapatkan nilai arus urutan negatif turun menjadi 0,32 A
dengan presentase ketakseimbangan sebesar 4,4%. Nilai tersebut telah
berhasil memenuhi standar minimum ketakseimbangan.

In the general distribution system, the majority of the load is three
phase industrial load. Usually these loads changed frequently and
unbalanced. In theory, the phenomenon of unbalanced load causes the
current has three components, namely positive sequence current, negative
sequence current and zero sequence current. It is well-known that
negative sequence current appearing may downgrade performance and/or
damage generator systems. Besides those well known bad effects, turbine
blades of generator could have serious problem that caused by negative
sequence current. In this final project will discuss about the design of
Static VAR Compensator (SVC) Fixed Capacitor - Thyristor Controlled
Reactor (FC - TCR) to reduce the negative sequence currents caused by
unbalanced load, using the method of symmetric components. From the
simulation results in an unbalanced system conditions, obtained negative
sequence current value of 2.2 A with a percentage of unbalanced of 28%.
With SVC on the system, obtained negative sequence current value drops
to 0,32 A with a percentage of unbalanced of 4,4%. The value has
successfully met the minimum standards of unbalanced.
