Abstract

Kota Surabaya mengalami perkembangan setiap tahunnya.
melintasi jalan cukup tinggi.

Surabaya city has developed every year, it makes the
transport sector plays an important role in it. This resulted in the
potential for air pollution resulting from the emissions produced by
motor vehicles. Air quality monitoring activities require huge costs
related to procurement of facilities and infrastructure, so it requires
alternative method to analyze the concentration of pollutants, by
using the model. One of the mathematical models to analyze the
concentration of pollutants is General Finite Line Source Model
(GFLS). This modeling approach is based on observations in the
field.
Research location is at Dr. Ir. H Sukarno road, the location
has been choosed because this location is close to the monitoring
station, another reason to choose this road because the number of
vehicles that cross the street is high. The purpose of this research
is to know GFLS model performance in forecasting the
concentration of air pollutants with the data monitoring in the field.
The first stage of the research is counting vehicles. After obtaining
the amount of vehicles then it’s multiplied by a factor of vehicle
emissions according to its type. The result of calculation is verified
by using data from ISPU to knowing the performances of the
model.
iv
Based on the research results, this model is not suitable to
predict the concentration of air pollutants because the value of d
and Rsquare are to low.
