Abstract

Perancangan sistem penerangan di kapal dengan teknologi
baru yaitu lampu Light Emitting Diode (LED) telah dilakukan di
Negara-negara maju hal ini untuk mendukung isu green earth.
Karena lampu LED memiliki daya lebih rendah dibandingkan
lampu fluorescent (FL) pada lumens yang sama. Namun sistem
penerangan dengan LED ini belum ada yang diterapkan di
Indonesia dengan beberapa alasan biaya biaya yang diperkirakan
mahal dan rules yang belum menyebutka tentang penggunaan
lampu LED.
Pada penulisan tugas akhir akan dikaji secara teknis dan
ekonomis mengenai perancangan sistem penerangan dengan lampu
LED dan membandingkannya dengan sistem penerangan yang saat
ini telah digunakan (FL) pada kapal niaga jenis kapal penumpang
di Indonesia. Kajian meliputi kebutuhan jumlah lampu, kebutuhan
daya yang harus disuplai, besarnya biaya modal dan biaya
maintenance serta biaya konsumsi listik.
Hasil yang diperoleh sistem penerangan dengan lampu LED
menjadi lebih efektif karena kebutuhan jumlah lampu yang lebih
sedikit, daya yang dibutuhakn untuk sistem penerangan jauh lebih rendah yaitu ¼ dari lampu FL, memiliki nilai maintenance lebih
ekonomis dan biaya konsumsi listrik yang lebih murah
dibandingkan sistem penerangan dengan lampu FL.

Lighting installation arrangement on board with renewable
energy with Light Emitting Diode (LED) carried out in developed
counties to support the issue of green earth. LED lights. It has a
lower power than fluorescent lamps (FL) at the same lumens.
However, the system of LED lighting has not yet been applied in
Indonesia for any reasons including the price is more expensive
than other lights and rules requires the use of LED lights.
In this research, the lighting installation arrangement using
LED light was analyzed technically and economically, they
compared to existing lighting installation arrangement (FL) on
passenger ship. The analysis included the need of the number of
lamps, power needs to be supplied, the capital, maintenance, and
electric consumption costs.
The research results were the lighting system with LED lights
became more effective than fluorescent lamps because it needed
fewer number of lamps, the power needed for lighting system was
lower at ¼ of the FL lamp, the maintenance cost and power
consumption cost were cheaper than lighting system with FL
lamps
