Abstract

Luminescent material ZnO (Zinc Oxide) has been synthesized using solution phase method. The calcination process was performed at 8000C. The addition of doping was done by using variation of the 1%, 3%, and 5% doping concentration then were performed at 3000C to obtain ZnO:Zn. The phase identification and optical properties were characterized for all samples. Luminescent intensity were characterized to determine the effect of doping concentration on the emission of ZnO:Zn. Green luminescence was obtained in the range of 510nm to 535nm. The higher concentration of doping indicates more activators (doping) in the host (ZnO) which absorb the excitation energy so that the higher emission intensity emitted.
