Abstract

Anak adalah calon generasi muda bangsa yang sangat berharga yang nantinya
akan berperan dalam perkembangan pembangunan masa mendatang agar
pembangunan nasional dapat berjalan lancar maka harus dipersiapkan para generasi
muda yang benar-benar berpotensi, Akan tetapi tidak semua anak dapat dididik di
sekolah umum. Hal inilah yang dialami oleh anak autis yaitu anak yang mempunyai
masalah/gangguan dalam bidang komunikasi, interaksi, perilaku, emosi, pola
bermain, gangguan sensorik.
Pusat terapi anak autis di Surabaya merupakan lembaga milik swasta yang
bergerak di bidang pendidikan khusus untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus.
Meningkatnya jumlah anak autis tidak diimbangi dengan jumlah pusat terapi dan
sekolah untuk anak autis. Ditinjau dari segi fisik bangunan, segi kapasitas, segi
kebutuhan aktivitas dan ruang masih banyak yang belum memadai terutama bagi
penderita Autis Sindrom Asperger. Perancangan ini ditujukan agar anak – anak autis
Sindrom Asperger dapat berkembang menjadi lebih baik dengan fasilitas yang
disediakan seperti ruang terapi one on one, ruang terapi wicara, ruang okupasi, ruang
biomedis, ruang medikamentosa, aula, dan ruang pendukung lainnya seperti lobby,
kantor, toilet dan service.

Children are a candidate for the nation's youth are very valuable which will be
instrumental in the development of future development so that national development
can proceed smoothly it must prepare the younger generation that really has the
potential, however not all children can be educated in public schools. This is
experienced by children with autism is the child that has problems / disorders in the
fields of communication, interaction, behavior, emotions, patterns of play, sensory
disturbance.
Child therapy center autistic in Surabaya is a privately owned institution
working in the field of special education for children with special needs. The
increasing number of children with autism is not matched by the number of treatment
centers and schools for children with autism. In terms of physical buildings, in terms
of capacity, in terms of activity and needs a lot of space still insufficient, especially
for people with Asperger's Syndrome Autism. This design is intended for children -
autistic child with Asperger's Syndrome can progress to better the facilities provided
such as therapy rooms one on one, space speech therapy, space occupation, space
biomedicine, space medikamentosa, ballroom and other support such as lobbies,
offices, toilet and service.
