Abstract

Mesin TCY berfungsi sebagai mesin yang memproduksi lembaran kardus. Mesin TCY terdiri dari tiga modul utama yaitu modul pewarnaan, modul pengeleman, dan modul pelipatan. Sistem produksi pada mesin tersebut sering mengalami kegagalan dikarenakan kelalaian operator atau kurangnya tingkat kepresisian mesin TCY. Hal ini tentu saja berakibat dengan turunnya tingkat produktifitas perusahaan.
Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pendekatan sistem untuk memodifikasi mesin TCY dengan menambahkan sensor. Sensor yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi mesin TCY adalah sensor kapasitif, sensor kapasitif akan dipasang di proses pengeleman.
Untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sistem, dilakukan metode simulasi untuk memperlihatkan perbandingan antara mesin TCY yang sudah dimodifikasi dan mesin TCY yang belum dimodifikasi, simulasi tersebut akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan software ARENA. Dengan penambahan sensor kapasitif terhadap mesin TCY maka akan meningkatkan produktifitas mesin TCY sebesar 15% dan tentu saja dapat meningkatkan pemasukan perusahaan dari segi ekonomi.

TCY machine is used as the engine that produces sheets of cardboard. It consists of three main modules, there are straining module, gluing module, and folding modules. The TCY machine's production system often fail due to the operator's negligences or the lack precision of the machine. These things of course resulted in the productivity level of the company.
It is necessary to do some approaches to modify the TCY machine's by adding a sensor. The sensor used to improve efficiency of TCY machine is Capacitive sensor. It would be placed on the gluing process.
To evaluate the System's performance, simulation method is used to know the differences between the modified TCY machine and the unmodified TCY machine, The simulation will be done with a software named ARENA software. With the addition of capacitive sensor on the TCY machine, it will increase the productivity by 15% of the machine and can certainly improve the company's revenue in terms of economics.
