Abstract

Stabilitas dalam kabel bawah laut atau Umbilical sangat diperlukan dalam dunia
energi. Jika pada Umbilical ini tidak mengalami kestabilan pada saat operasi
pengiriman energi, maka dampak buruk dapat terjadi pada lingkungan sekitar. Salah
satunya jika Umblical tidak mengalami ketidakstabilan maka bisa saja kabel tersebut
mengalami crack. Fenomena ini disebabkan oleh beban lingkungan terutama
gelombang dan arus laut. Pada tugas akhir ini, analisis On-Bottom Stability Kabel
Bawah Laut (umbilical) Berdasarkan DNV (Det Norske Veritas ) yang dilakukan
terdiri analisis stabilitas, yaitu analisis Stabilitas Lateral dan analisis Stabilitas
Vertikal. Berdasarkan analisis stabilitas, Kabel Bawah Laut (Umbilical) pada lokasi
ini dikatakan stabil apabila nilai nya kurang dari atau sama dengan 1. Baik nilai
Stabilitas Lateral maupun Stabilitas Vertikal nilainya harus kurang dari atau sama
dengan 1. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan On-Bottom Stability DNV RP F 109, yaitu
tentang pembahasan masalah Stabilitas Lateral ataupun Stabilitas Vertikal didapatkan
nilai dari Stabilitas Vertikal sebesar 0,17 dan nilai dari Stabilitas Lateral sebesar
0,2401 dimana nilai ini memenuhi untuk aturan DNV RP F 109 yaitu tentang
Stabilitas. Kemudian di sini dilakukan perbandingan nilai Stabilitas Lateral dengan
menggunakan Software ANSYS CFD kemudian di dapatkan nilainya yaitu sebesar
0,239. Dimana , didapatkan error dengan perhitungan manual sebesar 0,458.

Stability in the submarine cable or umbilical indispensable in the world of energy. If at
this Umbilical did not experience stability at the time of energy delivery operations,
the adverse effects can occur in the environment. One is if Umbilical did not
experience instability it could have the cable run into crack. This phenomenon is
caused by environmental loads, especially wave and ocean currents. In this thesis, the
analysis of On-Bottom Stability Underwater Cable (umbilical) by DNV (Det Norske
Veritas) carried consisted stability analysis, the analysis Stability Lateral and Vertical
Stability analysis. Based on the analysis of stability, Underwater Cable (umbilical) at
this location is said to be stable if its value is less than or equal to 1. Eventough value
Stability Lateral and Vertical Stability value must be less than or equal to 1. Based on
the results of the calculation On-Bottom Stability DNV RP F 109, which is about the
discussion of the problem or the Lateral Stability Stability Stability Vertical Vertical
obtained values is 0.17 and the value of the Lateral Stability is 0.2401 where the value
meets to rule DNV RP F 109 that is about stability. Then here the comparison value
Lateral stability using ANSYS CFD Software then get the value that is equal to 0,239.
Where, obtained by manual calculation error is 0,458
