Abstract

Air conditioning system merupakan mesin sistem refrigerasi kompresi uap sederhana. Kemudian dimodifikasi menjadi dua indoor unit dan satu outdoor unit. Dimana outdoor unit memiliki dua jenis kondenser yaitu, water cooled condenser dan air cooled condenser. Pembuangan kalor pada bagian water cooled condenser dimanfaatkan untuk memanaskan air yang nantinya dapat digunakan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari kedepannya. Penggunaan refrigeran CFC atau HCFC mengakibatkan beberapa dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan penggunaan mesin refrigerasi ini, diantaranya dapat merusak lapisan ozone, pemanasan global dan tidak hemat energi listrik. Penelitian pada ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan performansi suatu sistem refrigerasi sederhana yang mampu menghemat konsumsi energi dan ramah lingkungan. Metoda penelitian ini dilakukan pertama menggunakan R-22 sebagai refrigeran primernya dan selanjutnya dilakukan proses retrofitting (penggantian refrigeran) dengan menggunakan MC22. Selanjutnya analisis dilakukan berdasarkan data dari setiap titik-titik pengukuran seperti temperatur suction, temperatur discharge, temperatur in water cooled condenser, temperatur out water cooled condenser, temperatur out air cooled condenser, temperatur out pipa kapiler 1, temperatur out pipa kapiler 2, temperatur out evaporator 1, temperatur out evaporator 2, temperatur lingkungan, tekanan suction, tekanan discharge, tekanan setelah air cooled condenser,arus listrik, tegangan, dan
energi listrik.
Dari hasil analisis ini akan diperoleh suatu sistem
refrigerasi dengan performansi yang paling baik dengan konsumsi
energi listrik yang sedikit, serta sistem refrigerasi yang ramah
lingkungan adalah sistem yang menggunakan MC-22 baik
menggunakan atau tanpa pre-cooling dengan nilai COPelektrik
3,786; dan 3,933, COPthermal 4,501; dan 4,670, dan nilai
penghematan energi listrik sekitar 20% lebih hemat dibanding
sistem yang menggunakan R-22.

Air conditioning is the engine vapor compression refrigeration system. Then modified into two indoor units and one outdoor unit. Where the outdoor condenser unit has two types, which is water cooled condenser and air c ooled condenser. Disposal of heat in the water cooled condenser will use for water heater and can be use for the daily needs of the future. The uses of CFC or HCFC refrigerants give some negative effects on the use of water cooled condenser, electric current, voltage, and electrical
energy.
From the results obtained by analysis of a refrigeration
system, the best performance is with more saving energy. As well
as environment-friendly refrigeration system is a system that uses
MC-22 either with or without pre-cooling with the COPelectric
value of 3.786; and 3.933, COPthermal 4.501; and 4.670, and the
value of electric energy savings of about 20% more efficient than
the systems using R-22. machine and not environment-friendly, which can be damaging the ozone layer, global warming and not energy efficient. The purposes of this final project research is to analyze and compare the performance of a simple refrigeration system that reduces energy consumption and environment-friendly. The method of this research is performed using R-22 as the primary refrigerant and the second will be done form retrofitting process (replacement refrigerant) using the MC-22. Further analyzes were conducted based on data from each measurement points such as the suction temperature, discharge temperature, temperature in water cooled condenser, temperature out water cooled condenser, temperature out air cooled condenser, temperature out the capillary tube 1, temperature out the capillary tube 2, temperature out evaporator 1, temperature out evaporator 2, ambient temperature, suction pressure, discharge pressure, pressure after
