Abstract

Boiler M5301 pada salah satu pabrik petrokimia di gresik berjenis package boiler dimana menghasilkan uap bertekanan rendah. Pada boiler M5301 dilengkapi dua burner yang dioperasikan secara paralel. Namun permasalahannya supply bahan bakar gas pada masingmasing burner tersebut berbeda, namun gas buang dari kedua burner digabung menjadi satu yang akibatnya menyulitkan pengguna untuk mengetahui kinerja dari masing-masing burner. Prinsip kerja dari kedua burner yang dioperasikan secara paralel ini menggunakan metode primary and secondary, artinya burner 1 sebagai burner primary beroperasi secara penuh kemudian di-supply dengan menggunakan burner 2 sebagai burner secondary. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem kontrol yang dapat mengatur operasi kedua burner untuk mencapai temperatur steam dengan setpoint 167,6 0 C yaitu dengan menggunakan logic solver. Sebuah sistem kontrol dimana bekerja berdasarkan logika hubungan sebab akibat yang berfungsi sebagai pasangan aksi kondisi dari sebuah proses. Selain itu diperlukan pengendalian tekanan steam secara independen dengan setpoint 7,5 Bar menggunakan kontroler PI. Melalui hasil simulasi menggunakan logic solver, diperoleh karakteristik respon: settling time 9,8825 s, error steady state (ess) 0,06213 %, dan rise time (tr) 4,0233 s dengan flow bahan bakar sebesar 0,697 Kg/s pada burner 1 dengan bukaan valve penuh 100% dan 0,02969 Kg/s pada burner 2 dengan bukaan valve 42,6 %. Sedangkan hasil simulasi kontroler PI didapatkan: settling time 13,6052 s, error steady state (ess) 0,1998 %, dan rise time (tr) 9,5051 s. Dari hasil simulasi diperoleh hasil bahwa perancangan sistem kontrol menggunakan logic solver dan kontroler PI ini mampu mengoperasikan dua burner yang dioperasikan secara paralel sebagaimana mestinya dan hasilnya temperatur dan tekanan steam dapat mencapai setpoint sesuai dengan yang diharapkan.

Boiler M5301 at one of petrochemical plant in Gresik type package boilers which generate low pressure steam. In the boiler M5301 is equipped with two burners which are operated in parallel. But the problem is the supply of fuel gas to each burner is different, but the exhaust gases from the second burner merged into one that is consequently difficult for users to determine the performance of each burner. The working principle of the two burners operated in parallel using primary and secondary methods, means burner 1 as the primary burner fully operational then supply by using the burner 2 as a secondary burner. Therefore, the necessary control systems to regulate operation of both burners to achieve setpoint temperature steam with 167.6 0 C by using logic solver. A control system in which the work is based on the logic of causality which serves as a pair of action conditions of a process. Also required steam pressure control independently with a setpoint of 7.5 Bar using a PI controller. Through the simulation results using logic solver, the response characteristics obtained as follows: 9.8825 s settling time, steady state error (ess) 0.06213 %, and a rise time (tr) 4.0233 s with fuel flow amounted to 0.697 Kg/s the burner 1 with the valve fully 100 % and 0.02969 kg/s at the burner 2 with the valve 42.6 %. While the PI controller simulation results obtained: 13.6052 s settling time, steady state error (ess) 0.1998 %, and the rise time (tr) 9.5051 s. From the simulation results showed that the control system design using logic solver and PI controller is able to operate two burners which are operated in parallel as they should and as a result of temperature and pressure steam can reach setpoint as expected.
