Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul “Rancang Bangun Piranti “VALITIOZ”: Konservasi Limbah Cair Industri Pengolahan Udang Menggunakan TiO2.” Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) membuat rancang bangun “VALITIOZ” untuk degradasi limbah udang, (2) membandingkan pengaruh jumlah lampu sinar ultraviolet terhadap degradasi absorbansi limbah udang, dan (3) menyelidiki pengaruh tipe reservoir batch dan flow terhadap degradasi absorbansi limbah udang. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini adalah merancang piranti “VALITIOZ”, membuat sampel fotokatalisis (TiO2 dan bahan perekatnya) pada substrat (kain nilon), mengoperasikan polutan (limbah cair udang) pada piranti “VALITIOZ”, pengujian polutan, serta analisis hasil uji polutan. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan memperoleh hasil sesuai tujuan, yaitu: (1) telah dibuat rancang bangun piranti “VALITIOZ” yang memiliki reservoir (wadah air) sebanyak dua buah dan pilihan substrat terbaik adalah nilon. Rancang bangun ini mampu melakukan degradasi limbah cair udang dengan baik, (2) degradasi limbah cair udang tertinggi adalah pada penggunaan empat lampu TL UV, dan (3) reservoir tipe batch baik untuk mendegradasi senyawa organik dan polutan, sedangkan reservoir tipe flow lebih baik untuk mendegradasi aroma.

Has been done the research which has title of "VALITIOZ" Tool Design: Conservation of Shrimp Liquid Waste Industry Using TiO2. This research has purposes, there are: (1) desgin “VALITIOZ” for shrimp waste degradation, (2) compare the effect of ultaviolet light amount on shrimp waste absorbance degradation, and (3) investigated the effect of batch and flow reservoir types on shrimp waste degradation. The methodology in this research are designing “VALITIOZ” device, making photocatalysis samples (TiO2 and adhesives) on the substrate (nylon fabric), operating pollutants (shrimp liquid waste) on “VALITIOZ” device, testing pollutants, and analyzing the results of pollutant tests. The research that has been done getting results which same with purposes, which are: (1) there is has been made design of "VALITIOZ" device which has two reservoirs and the best substrate choice is nylon. This design is able to degrade shrimp liquid waste well, (2) the highest degradation of shrimp liquid waste is on the use of four TL UV lamps, and (3) batch type reservoir well to degrade organic compounds and pollutants, while flow type reservoir is better to degrade the aroma.
