Abstract

Sistem pembangkit tenaga listrik berfungsi untuk membangkitkan energi listrik melalui berbagai macam komponen unit pendukung. Salah satu sistem pembangkit listrik yaitu pembangkit listrik tenaga gas. Bagian utama dari pembangkit listrik tenaga gas yaitu kompressor, combustion chamber, dan gas turbin-generator. Sistem pengendalian yang digunakan pada pembangkit listrik tenaga gas yaitu sistem pengendalian frekuensi beban. Sistem ini memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dari daya yang dibangkitkan meskipun terdapat beban pada sistem tersebut. Jika daya yang dibangkitkan dalam sistem lebih kecil dari beban yang diminta, maka frekuensi akan turun. Sehingga diperlukannya pengendalian frekuensi beban untuk menjaga kecepatan pada rotor turbin gas-generator. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan pengendalian frekuensi beban dengan dua tipe yaitu speed governor dan PID gain schedulling. Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan kedua tipe kendali lebih baik PID gain schedulling memiliki karakteristik performansi yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan speed governor. Nilai parameter dari uji performansi frekuensi beban menggunakan kendali speeed governor yaitu yaitu nilai maks. overshoot sebesar 45%, peak time 1,7s, setling time 4,5 s, Rise time 1,7s, ess 9,6. PID gain schedulling dengan nilai parameter uji performansi yaitu nilai maks. overshoot sebesar 40%, peak time 1,6s, setling time 4 s, Rise time 7 s, ess 0,3.

Power systems serve to arouse the electrical energy through a wide variety of components supporting units. One of the electricity generation system i.e. gas power plant. A major part of the gas power plant that is kompressor, combustion chamber, and gas turbine-generators. Control systems used in gas-fired power plants, namely load frequency control system. This system has a very important role in increasing the efficiency of power raised although there is load on the system. If power is generated in the system is smaller than the requested load, then the frequency will go down. So it needs to keep the load frequency control of the speed of the rotor gas turbines. This research was conducted on the design of the load frequency control with two types namely speed governor and the PID gain schedulling. From the results of testing using both types of control are better PID gain schedulling has better performance characteristics than with a speed governor. The value of the parameters of the test performance using load frequency control speed governor is max. overshoort 45%, peak time 1,7s, settling time 4,5s, rise time 1,7s, ess 9,6. PID gain schedulling performance test parameter value namely the value max.overshoot 40%, peak time 1,6s, settling time 4s, rise time 7s, ess 0,3.
