Abstract

HKUST-1 dan komposit kitosan/HKUST-1 telah berhasil disintesis dengan metode solvotermal pada suhu 100 °C selama 10 jam dalam pelarut DMF:Etanol:Asam Asetat 2% dengan perbandingan (1:1:1). Penambahan massa kitosan dilakukan secara in-situ dengan variasi sebesar 2%, 5% dan 10%, yang berturut-turut dinotasikan sebagai CS(2)/HKUST-1, CS(5)/HKUST-1 dan CS(10)/HKUST-1. Padatan yang diperoleh dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX, TGA dan Adsorpsi-Desorpsi N2. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan puncak karakteristik yang sama dengan HKUST-1 standar. Spektra FTIR material hasil sintesis menunjukkan pita serapan pada bilangan gelombang yang sama dengan HKUST-1 dan kitosan yang telah dilaporkan. Morfologi kitosan/HKUST-1 berupa kristal oktahedral yang hampir sama dengan morfologi HKUST-1. Hasil Adsorpsi-desorpsi N2 menunjukkan SBET dari material HKUST-1 sebesar 784 m2/g. Stabilitas termal dari HKUST-1 dan CS(5)/HKUST-1 mencapai suhu 292 °C dan 308 °C. Hasil uji adsorpsi methylene blue menunjukkan bahwa CS(5)/HKUST-1 memiliki kapasitas adsorpsi tertinggi sebesar 166,67 mg/g serta mengikuti model kinetika orde dua semu dan isotermal Langmuir.

HKUST-1 and chitosan/HKUST-1 composites have been succesfully synthesized with solvothermal method at a temperature of 100 ºC for 10 hours in DMF:Etanol:Acetic Acid 2% solvents with volume ratio 1:1:1. The addition variations of chitosan mass was carried out by in-situ, i.e. 2%, 5% and 10%, which are notated as CS(2)/HKUST-1, CS(5)/HKUST-1, and CS(10)/HKUST-1. The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX,TGA and N2 Adsorption-Desorption. The Diffractogram patterns of the synthesized solids showed HKUST-1. FTIR spectra of solids showed absorption bands at the same wavenumbers as reported for HKUST-1 and chitosan. The morphology of chitosan/HKUST-1 had the same shape as the HKUST-1. N2 adsorption-desorption test results showed SBET from HKUST-1 material was 784 m2/g. The thermal stability of HKUST-1 and CS(5)/HKUST-1 reached temperature of 292 °C and 308 °C. The results of the adsorption methylene blue (MB) showed that CS(5)/HKUST-1 had the highest adsorption capacity of 166,67 mg/g by following the pseudo second order adsorption kinetics and isothermal adsorption Langmuir.
