Abstract

Kemampuan maneuver kapal begitu penting untuk menghindari insiden kecelakaan kapal. Terlebih bila kapal tersebut adalah kapal yang berjenis kapal cepat, penelitian ini berfokus pada eksperimen maneuver kapal cepat di perairan terbuka untuk gerakan turning circle dengan menggunakan interceptor. Eksperimen dilakukan menggunakan kapal model yang dilengkapi dengan berbagai komponen sistem instrumentasi yaitu sistem sensor, sistem propulsi, dan tentunya sistem interceptor. Kapal model dikendalikan dengan menggunakan sebuah remote, data dari sistem sensor akan dikirim melalui jaringan nirkabel yang terhubung ke laptop. Ada pun aspek pengujian berupa variasi tinggi interceptor sebesar 0%, 50%, dan 100% berdasarkan ketinggian boundary layer yang terletak tepat di bawah bagian transom kapal yang diuji bersama dengan aspek lainnya berupa kondisi trim kapal, yaitu kondisi even keel, trim haluan, dan trim buritan dengan besar sudut trim sebesar 2o. Akuisisi data lintasan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode color object tracking yang dimana lintasan kapal ditangkap melalui sebuah kamera berdasarkan perintah pelacakkan suatu warna tertentu. Hasilnya kemudian diverifikasi dengan data lintasan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan oleh BPPT Laboratorium Hidrodinamika Indonesia, Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, tinggi interceptor mempengaruhi kemampuan turning circle kapal cepat, ukuran interceptor 100% memberikan pengurangan ukuran tactical diameter sebesar 17% hingga 21% dan ukuran interceptor 50% memberikan pengurangan ukuran tactical diameter sebesar 6% hingga 15%, Interceptor mempengaruhi kondisi trim kapal dengan cara memberikan gaya angkat pada buritan kapal saat kapal melaju kencang, semakin tinggi interceptor maka kapal akan cenderung menuju pada kondisi trim haluan, dengan semakin besarnya kondisi trim haluan maka semakin meningkatkan kemampuan turning circle, hal ini dibuktikan dengan ukuran tactical diameter yang paling kecil pada kondisi trim haluan dengan kapal model 100% interceptor yang memiliki ukuran tactical diameter sebesar 1,69 meter.

The ship's maneuverability is very important to avoid ship accident incidents. Especially if the ship is a type of fast ship, this research focuses on the experiment of fast ship maneuvers in open waters for turning circle movements using an interceptor. Experiments were carried out using model ships equipped with various components of the instrumentation system namely the sensor system, propulsion system, and of course the interceptor system. The model ship is controlled using a remote, data from the sensor system will be sent via a wireless network connected to the laptop. There are also aspects of testing in the form of interceptor height variations of 0%, 50%, and 100% based on the height of the boundary layer which is located just below the transom of the ship tested along with other aspects of the ship trim conditions, namely the keel event conditions, trim by bow, and trim by stern with a trim angle of 2o. Track data acquisition is carried out using the color object tracking method in which the ship's trajectory is captured through a camera based on a specific color tracking command. The results are then verified with data from the test results conducted by the BPPT Hydrodynamics Laboratory in Indonesia, Surabaya. Based on the test results, the height of the interceptor affects the ability of the fast turning circle of the ship, the interceptor size of 100% gives a reduction in the tactical diameter size of 17% to 21% and the size of the interceptor 50% provides a reduction in the tactical diameter size of 6% to 15%, the Interceptor affects the condition of the ship trim by giving a lift to the stern of the ship when the ship is speeding, the higher the interceptor, the ship will tend to go to the trim by bow conditions, with the greater trim by bow conditions the more the ability to turn the circle, this is evidenced by the smallest tactical diameter size on trim by bow conditions with a 100% interceptor model ship that has a tactical diameter of 1.69 meters.
