Abstract

Investasi merupakan salah satu instrumen yang sangat penting dalam perencanaan keuangan pribadi. Pada umumnya, investasi yang sering digunakan di Indonesia adalah investasi pasar modal. Pasar modal Indonesia memiliki peranan yang penting dalam membangun ekonomi negara dan menjadi penyedia modal bagi pelaku bisnis. Fenomena market crash di pasar modal Indonesia yang menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan harga saham secara signifikan perlu disoroti terkait pentingnya memahami peran investor individu sebagai pelaku utama pasar dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi. Studi empiris membuktikan bahwa salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan market crash di pasar modal adalah bias perilaku dari individu investor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat bagaimana pengaruh literasi keuangan dan variabel demografi investor terhadap bias perilakunya di dalam pasar modal Indonesia. Temuan didasarkan pada data yang dikumpulkan melalui survei 447 investor individu. Metode Analisis Faktor, ANOVA, dan Regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan literasi keuangan dan karakteristik demografi memiliki pengaruh signifikan pada empat dari delapan variabel bias perilaku investor individu di pasar modal Indonesia. Temuan penelitian ini mempunyai implikasi serius bagi investor untuk memahami diri, sehingga dapat mengantisipasi perilaku bias dalam pengambilan keputusan investasi. Selain itu, bagi emiten dapat mengetahui pola perilaku umum dari investor individu di Pasar Modal Indonesia.

Investment is one of the most important instruments in personal financial planning. In general, investments that are often used in Indonesia are capital market investments. The Indonesian capital market has an important role in developing the country's economy and being a provider of capital for business people. The phenomenon of market crashes in the Indonesian capital market that causes a significant decline in share prices needs to be highlighted regarding the importance of understanding the role of individual investors as key market players in investment decision making. Empirical studies prove that one of the factors that causes market crashes in the capital market is the behavior bias of individual investors. The purpose of this study is to look at how the level of financial literacy and investor demographic variables are related to behavior bias in the Indonesian capital market. The findings are based on data collected through a survey of 447 individual investors. Factor Analysis, ANOVA, and Multiple linear regression methods are used to answer the research hypotheses. The results showed financial literacy and demographic characteristics had a significant influence on four of the eight variables of individual investor behavior bias in the Indonesian capital market. The findings of this study have serious implications for investors to understand themselves, so they can anticipate behavior bias in investment decision making. In addition, issuers can find out the general behavior patterns of individual investors in the Indonesian Capital Market.
