Abstract

Dimana nilai Stabilitas meningkat signifikan mencapai 27% dari stabilitas campuran aspal konvensional. untuk skala perbandingan harga per benda uji, nilai per m3 nya lebih hemat benda uji aspal modifikasi sebesar Rp. 2,589,00- = Indonesia has around 14 tire industries with a production capacity of all industries reaching 77 million car, truck & bus’s tire around 64 million two-wheeled vehicle tires, while the processing of waste tires in Indonesia is still very limited, among others only to protect docks (fenders), ropes, slippers, trash cans, and craft chairs. So that in the next few years, used tire waste will become a quite serious and complicated problem and must to take some solve. Because tire waste is very difficult to be deciphered by the environment and is very resistant to chemical and acid attacks (Reddy and Saichek, 1998). On the other hand, Indonesia is in the second position in the world with the amount of plastic waste in the sea which reaches 1.29 million metric tons per year. Utilizing the type of plastic waste (Low-Density Polyethylene) and Rubber Inner Tube as an asphalt mixture additive is one solution for the treatment of both wastes.
The asphalt mixture specification used is the Laston Lapis Antara (AC-BC). The level of plastic waste and rubber waste is 50:50 each with a percentage used of 2%; 4%; 6%; and 8% and 10% of the total weight of asphalt. This study refers to the 2018 general specification. The method used in this study is the wet method, where LDPE and rubber waste are mixed into hot asphalt.
The results is about improvements to the characteristics of several aspects, including the value of VMA, VIM, and Flow which has a trend graph with a downward regression line. While the value of Density, VFA, and Stability has an increasing graph value. And the Stability value increased significantly reached 27% of the stability of conventional asphalt mixes. For the comparison scale prices each test object each m3 is more economical modified asphalt specimen. Its more cheap around Rp. 2,589.00-
