Abstract

LED TV is one of the products of PT. Genta Semar Mandiri, including the raw material for these products obtained from domestic suppliers. The company conducts an inspection process for the quality of LED TV raw materials in the early stages of production using an acceptance sampling method to prevent raw materials that do not meet the specifications entering the production line. The sampling design used by the company is Military Standard 105E-level II with a single sampling type. In this study a comparison of the sampling design used by the company today with the proposed other sampling design methods is MIL STD 105E-Double Sampling, Dodge-Romig and Philips Standard Sampling System to find out the most appropriate sampling design. The appropriate sampling design is viewed from the OC curve shape, producer risk value ( α ) and consumer ( β ). The results of this evaluation are expected to reduce decision making errors in the inspection of raw material lots in the company. The suggested proposal is to use a Philips SSS-Single Sampling sampling design with an IQL value of 0.25% for checking critical damage categories. Whereas for major and minor damage categories it is recommended to use Dodge Romig-Double Sampling with LTPD inspection rates of 5% and 10%, respectively. For one-time sampling it is recommended to use the level of inspection of critical damage categories as a reference for sampling.
