Abstract

The family planning is a goverment program to control fertility in Indonesia. The family planning is managed by the National Family Planning Coordinating Agency. In 2017, the percentage of women active in family planning 57,73%. This research was conducted to determine the factors that are suspected to percentage of women active in family planning in Central Java using Nonparametric Spline Truncated Regression. Because the pattern of data factors that are suspected to percentage of women active in family planning do not follow certain data patterns and the pattern changes at certain sub-intervals. Based on the minimum GCV values, the best model with a combination of knots (3,3,3,3) with 35 observations. The results of significance testing parameters indicate that all variables used have a significant effect on the percentage of women active in family planning in Central Java. The variables used are the percentage of working women, percentage of women first marriage >17 years, the number of family planning clinics, and the number of PPKBD. The results of testing residual assumptions indicate all assumptions are met with the coefficient of determination of this model equal to 95,24%.
