Organizations need to pay attention and understand the aspects of building and developing quality human resources, especially in achieving performance, including the service industry. A Start-up company, Happy5, is a company engaged in analyst services as an internal communication and performance consultant with business to business (B2B) segmentation. The problem that occurred in Happy5 was generated by a decline in performance which reached 44% for employees during the ongoing pandemic that required employees to work from home. This research aimed to determine the internal aspects of individuals in the form of feedback orientation and goal orientation, which can help company adjust the type of treatment according to individual characteristics to improve the performance of Happy5 employees. The collection of respondents' data is garnered through a survey using an online questionnaire and using census methods in which the entire population was sampled with 45 respondents of Happy5 employees. The collected data is then processed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method with SPSS software to answer the research hypotheses. Hypothetical test results showed feedback orientation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The research findings also prove that goal orientation does not affect employee performance and feedback orientation. This findings reveal several implications which can help the start-up company provide appropriate treatments and form programs for their employee so that employee performance can be maximized.
