Abstract

PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik merupakan salah satu perusahaan jasa logistik di Indonesia. Perusahaan ini memiliki pelayanan yang cukup lengkap mulai dari bongkar muat kapal, pergudangan hingga pelayanan logistik hingga ke tempat tujuan.berdasarkan hasil survey pelanggan yang dilakukan oleh PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik diketahui bahwa proses pelayanan logistik menggunakan truk perusahaan masih dinilai rumit. Selain itu, proses pelayanan trucking juga dinilai memerlukan waktu yang lama. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena adanya aktivitas waste excess-processing, transportation dan waiting yang terjadi dalam sistem pelayanan yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan. Perusahaan memiliki rencana untuk melakukan improvement untuk mengurangi waste yang terjadi pada sistem pelayanannya. Dengan tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membantu perusahaan dalam mengurangi waste yang terjadi pada sistem pelayanan yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan. Penelitian ini hanya dilakukan pada aktivitas trucking di Divisi Logistics Service yaitu divisi yang terdapat waste pada sistem pelayanannya. Pada kasus penelitian ini akan dilakukan perbaikan dengan menggunakan pendekatan metode lean service. Dengan tujuan untuk melakukan pengeliminasian waste yang terjadi di dalam sistem pelayanan, penelitian ini menggunakan tools yang mendukung metode tersebut yang diantaranya adalah big picture mapping, process activity mapping (PAM), Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), dan root cause analysis (RCA). Dengan tools – tools tersebut akan mendapatkan rekomendasi perbaikan dengan pertimbangan dari aspek waktu yang efektif dan efisien.

PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik is one of the logistics service companies in Indonesia. This company has quite complete services ranging from loading and unloading ships, warehousing to logistics services to their destination. Based on the results of a customer survey conducted by PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik, it is known that the logistics service process using company trucks is still considered complicated. In addition, the trucking service process is also considered to take a long time. This is due to the waste excess-processing, transportation and waiting activities that occur in the service system owned by the company. The company has a plan to make improvements to reduce waste that occurs in its service system. With this aim, this research is intended to assist companies in reducing waste that occurs in the service system owned by the company. This research was only conducted on trucking activities in the Logistics Service Division, which is a division that contains waste in its service system. In the case of this study, improvements will be made using the lean service method approach. With the aim of eliminating waste that occurs in the service system, this study uses tools that support this method, including big picture mapping, process activity mapping (PAM), Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA). With these tools, we will get recommendations for improvements with consideration from the aspect of time that is effective and efficient.
