Abstract

The Kumitir site in Mojokerto is one of the locations where it is suspected that there are relics of the Majapahit kingdom. The site has a large area and its condition is being buried with soil so that to get more information about the site, an excavation process is carried out. The excavation process that has been carried out is in the form of excavations carried out by the Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Jawa Timur team at several site locations. The excavation succeeded in uncovering some of the piles of ancient bricks that formed the structure of the walls of the building and part of the main building. Measurement of the resistivity method is used to help estimate the part of the site that is still buried in the Kumitir site area. The resistivity method is used here because it is able to measure large areas and has the advantage of finding the desired depth. The resistivity method uses the difference of the potential value of the current strong injection so it is able to provide an overview of the subsurface conditions through the resulting resistivity value distribution cross-section. The number of lines used in this study were 8 lines. The electrode configuration used in this study is the Wenner configuration because it is sensitive to lateral changes. After the measurement is carried out, the data then processed and made a resistivity section and modeling to make it easier to estimate the location of the brick in the area. Modeling is made by combining 2D cross sections. Based on the research results, it was found that the resistivity value of the site building bricks ranged from 100 ohm.meter - 334 ohm.meter and was on lines 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and buried as deep as 1m-6m below the ground.
