Abstract

Bendungan Way Anof direncanakan akan dibangun di aliran Sungai Way Anof, di Kecamatan Maba, Kabupaten Halmahera Timur, Provinsi Maluku Utara. Bendungan ini direncanakan untuk dapat menyuplai kebutuhan air di pabrik pengolahan bijih nikel milik PT ANTAM Tbk. Dalam merencanakan suatu bendungan, diperlukan bangunan pelimpah untuk menyalurkan kelebihan air dari debit yang akan dibuang supaya keseimbangan air pada bendungan tetap terjaga. Laporan ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana merencanakan bangunan pelimpah beserta bangunan pelengkap lainnya, seperti saluran pengarah, saluran pengatur, saluran peluncur, bangunan peredam energi, dan saluran pembuang. Perencanaannya diawali dengan melakukan analisa hidrologi dengan menghitung curah hujan rencana menggunakan metode Pearson Type III. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji kecocokan distribusi frekuensinya menggunakan metode Chi-Square dan Smirnov Kolmogorov sehingga didapatkan hasil yang memenuhi kedua uji kecocokan tersebut. Untuk perhitungan debit banjir rencana, pada perencanaan ini akan digunakan metode Hidrograf Satuan Sintetik (HSS) Nakayasu dan didapatkan debit banjir rencana sebesar 81,74 m3/dt. Sementara itu, dari hasil flood routing, didapatkan debit pelimpah sebesar 79,78 m3/dt. Dari hasil analisa hidrolika yang telah dilakukan, direncanakan bangunan pelimpah depan, tipe mercu Ogee dengan hulu tegak setinggi 1,5 meter dan lebar 10 meter. Hasil analisa stabilitas terhadap mercu bendung yang direncanakan, menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan, dimana mercu dinyatakan aman terhadap bahaya rembesan, retak, guling, geser, dan daya dukung tanahnya sendiri.

Way Anof Dam is planned to be built at the Way Anof River, in Maba District, East Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. The dam is designed to be able to supply the water needed at the nickel ore processing plant owned by PT ANTAM Tbk. In designing a dam, a spillway is needed to be able to discharge water excess from the dam so that the water inside the dam remain balanced. This report will discuss about how to design spillway structures with other complementary structures, such as guide channel, control channel, launch channel, energy absorber basin, and exhaust channel. The designing process begins with conducting hydrological analysis by calculating designed rainfall using Pearson Type III method. Then proceed with compatibility test of its frequency distribution using Chi-Square and Smirnov Kolmogorov methods so that the result meets the requirements of those both methods. In calculating designed flood discharge, Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) method will be used in this report resulting a 81.74 m3/s flood discharge. Meanwhile, from the flood routing analysis, a 79.78 m3/s overflow discharge is obtained. The design result from the hydraulics analysis that has been conducted is a front channel spillway, Ogee type crest with 1.5 meters high upright upstream and 10 meters wide. The stability analysis upon the designed weir crest showed satisfactory results, where the crest is declared safe against the dangers of seepage, cracking, overturning, sliding, and the bearing capacity of its soil.
