Abstract

Fused Deposition Modelling banyak digunakan sebagai metode dalam pembuatan rapid prototyping dan salah satu yang dikembangkan adalah mobil remote control. Mobil remote control saat ini sedang sedang dalam tahap pengembangan salah satunya dengan digunakannya mobil RC sebagai alat untuk menjinakan bom, selain itu mobil remote control juga sangat baik untuk dijadikan mainan terutama untuk anak usia 6 – 12 tahun, karena dapat melatih ketangkasan dan melatih pengendalian emosi. Salah satu bagian terpenting dalam mobil RC yaitu wishbone, wishbone adalah suspense part pada mobil RC yang menghubungkan chassis dengan ban. Dilakukan analisis pengaruh variasi geometri yakni honeycomb, circle dan triangular terhadap kekuatan, bobot, dan perbandingan kekuatan dan bobot terhadap desain prototype awal. Untuk mencapai tujuan dari tugas akhir ini digunakanlah metode pendekatan analisa numerik. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi geometri circle memiliki geometri paling baik dengan nilai total deformation 0,00073777 m, Equivalent Elastic Strain 0,0023946 m/m,Equivalent stress 68996 MPa, dan bobot 18,097 gram, dan tervalidasinya optimisasi dengan perbandingan geometri circle dan geometri awal (original)

Fused Deposition Modeling is widely used as a method in making rapid prototyping and one of the developed ones is a remote control car. Remote control cars are currently in the development stage, one of which is the use of RC cars as a tool to defuse bombs, besides that remote control cars are also very good to be used as toys, especially for children aged 6-12 years, because they can train dexterity and train emotional control . One of the most important parts in an RC car is the wishbone, the wishbone is a suspension part on an RC car that connects the chassis to the tires. An analysis of the effect of geometric variations, namely honeycomb, circle and triangular on the strength, weight, and strength and weight ratio of the initial prototype design, was analyzed. To achieve the objectives of this final project, a numerical analysis approach is used. And it can be concluded that the circle geometry variation has the best geometry with a total deformation value of 0.00073777 m, Equivalent Elastic Strain 0.0023946 m/m, Equivalent stress 68996 MPa, and a weight of 18.097 grams, and the optimization is validated by comparing the circle geometry and initial geometry (original).
