Abstract

Motor penggerak menjadi salah satu komponen utama yang menjadi sorotan para peneliti dalam meningkatkan performa dan efisiensi kendaraan listrik. Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan desain dan simulasi terhadap motor brushless DC tipe radial flux permanent magnet (RFPM), dimana banyak diimplementasikan pada kendaraan listrik karena memiliki desain yang sederhana dan nilai rapat daya yang besar. Motor ini didesain agar menghasilkan daya output sebesar 2 kW dan efisiensi 90%. Pemodelan desain dan simulasi performa motor berbasis finite element method (FEM) menggunakan perangkat lunak Ansys MotorCAD. Pemodelan desain motor BLDC pada perangkat lunak didasari dari perhitungan analitik sebagai pendekatan matematis. Pemodelan dan simulasi motor BLDC radial flux telah dilakukan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan motor BLDC radial flux memiliki karakteristik nilai kecepatan dan daya maksimum yang tinggi. Data hasil simulasi juga kemudian dibandingkan dengan perhitungan analitik.

The electric motor is one of the main components that are in the spotlight of researchers in improving the performance and efficiency of electric vehicles. In this final project, design and simulation radial flux permanent magnet (RFPM) of brushless DC motor is carried out, which is widely implemented in electric vehicles because it has a simple design and high-power density. This motor is designed to produce an output power of 2 kW and an efficiency of 90%. Design modeling and motor performance simulation based on the finite element method (FEM) using Ansys MotorCAD software. BLDC motor design modeling is based on analytical calculations as a mathematical approach. Radial flux BLDC motor modeling and simulation has been carried out. The simulation results show that the radial flux BLDC motor has the characteristics of high speed and maximum power values. The data from the simulation results are then compared with the analytical calculations.
