Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, khususnya
internet telah mengubah paradigma manusia tentang data. Data

The development of science and technology, especially
internet, has changed the human paradigm of data. Data has
become an important part of human life. With more and more data being generated, a method is needed to process the data so that new information can be obtained which can later be used for further understanding and business decisions.
One of the data processing method is the k-Nearest Neighbor
(k-NN) query. The k-NN query intends to find a set of k-objects that have the shortest distance based on the reference object. However, the k-NN query cannot answer the query when an object has a closeness durability to the reference object at certain time interval because the k-NN query does not consider the durability variable and time interval variables in it’s calculation algorithm.
This final project aims to answer the problem of Durable k
Nearest Neighbor queries based on time intervals on
multidimensional historical time series data by designing
algorithmic frameworks and data structures that can process these queries. The algorithm used is Durable k Nearest Neighbor using Grid Index (using parallel computing techniques) to find a collection of k-object that have closeness durability to reference object at certain time intervals.
