Abstract

Dilaporkan terjadi patahnya lacing wire pada sudu terakhir turbin uap tekanan rendah PLTU Tanjung Awar Awar setelah 4 tahun beroperasi. Lacing Wire terbuat dari baja tahan karat grade PH 17-4 dengan diameter 14 mm. Mengganti Lacing Wire dengan yang baru memerlukan pengangkatan rotor turbin uap dan melepas sudunya, dan itu hanya dapat dilakukan selama durasi serious inspection. Sangat penting untuk melakukan pengelasan pada lacing wire yang patah saat periode simple inspection agar tidak mengganggu jadwal inspeksi sehingga peluang kehilangan produksi listrik dapat dihindari. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian pengelasan variasi elektroda, yaitu ER 630, ER 410, dan ER 309 yang merupakan elektroda dengan variasi kadar Cr dan kadar Ni. Hasil pengujian tarik menunjukkan bahwa keuletan sambungan dengan Elektroda ER 309 dan ER 630 cukup tinggi, sedangkan untuk sambungan dengan ER 410 mempunyai keuletan sangat rendah,
sehingga dapat memicu kegagalan lacing wire akibat terlalu getas. Struktur mikro menunjukkan bahwa input panas pengelasan antara 571.2 -714 J/mm menunjukkan struktur mikro yang dapat diterima pada aplikasi di lapangan. Sedangkan kekerasan pada daerah HAZ akibat variasi elektroda dan input panas pengelasan hampir tidak ada perbedaan. pengelasan PH 17-4 menggunakan elektroda ER 630 dengan melakukan preheating sangat cocok diterapkan pada aplikasi dilapangan karena mempunyai kesetimbangan keuletan dan kekuatan.

It was reported that there was a broken lacing wire on the last stage low pressure steam turbine blade PLTU Tanjung Awar Awar after 4 years of operation. The lacing wire is made of grade PH 17-4 stainless steel with a diameter of 14 mm. Replacing the lacing wire with a new one requires lifting the LP steam turbine rotor and removing the blade can only be done during the major inspection duration. It
is very important to weld the broken lacing wire during the simple inspection period so as not to disrupt the inspection schedule so that the opportunity for loss of electricity production can be avoided. In this research, welding testing of various electrodes was conducted, namely ER 630, ER 410, and ER 309 which are electrodes with variations in Cr and Ni levels. The results of the tensile test show that the
ductility of the connection with the ER 309 and ER 630 electrodes is quite high, while the connection with ER 410 has very low ductility, so that it can trigger the failure of the lacing wire due to being too brittle. The
microstructure shows that the heat input welding between 571.2 -714 J/mm shows an acceptable microstructure in field applications. While the hardness in the HAZ region due to
variations in electrodes and heat input welding is almost no difference. PH 17-4 welding using ER 630 electrode by
preheating is very suitable for application in the field because it has a balance of ductility and strength.
