Abstract

Setiap keputusan yang dibuat oleh Manajer Proyek memiliki dampak langsung pada waktu, biaya, kualitas, dan keberhasilan akhir dari sebuah proyek konstruksi. Menduduki posisi krusial dalam proyek konstruksi, Manajer Proyek pasti mengalami stres yang sangat besar yang disebabkan oleh tekanan waktu yang sangat menuntut, ketidakpastian intrinsik, dan struktur sosial yang dinamis dari proyek konstruksi. Pengambilan keputusan individu yang bekerja dalam situasi stres yang berlebihan umumnya lebih kaku, sederhana, dan dangkal. Namun, stres belum tentu berbahaya. Stimulus stres sangat penting untuk setiap pengalaman sukses, karena selalu disertai dengan motivasi.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara stressor dan stres kerja, hubungan antara perilaku dalam menanggulangi stres kerja dan stres kerja, serta hubungan antara stres kerja dan kinerja manajer proyek konstruksi bangunan gedung di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif data primer, kuesioner dibagikan kepada pihak manajer proyek konstruksi bangunan gedung yang sedang berlangsung di Surabaya. Untuk mengetahui indikator yang mempengaruhi variabel laten, digunakan metode Second Order CFA, dan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel laten digunakan metode SEM Analysis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel Stressor memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel Stres Kerja, yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin banyaknya stressor yang dialami oleh manajer proyek, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat stres kerja manajer proyek. Hubungan lainnya adalah variabel Stres Kerja memiliki pengaruh yang negatif dan signifikan terhadap variabel Kinerja Manajer Proyek, yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat stres kerja manajer proyek, maka kinerja manajer proyek akan semakin menurun. Namun tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara variabel Perilaku Penanggulangan Stres Kerja dengan variabel Stres Kerja.
Penelitian ini memberikan penyelidikan komprehensif tentang dampak berbagai jenis stres pada kinerja manajer proyek konstruksi. Hasilnya merupakan langkah signifikan menuju manajemen stres manajer proyek dalam industri konstruksi yang dinamis dan penuh tekanan.

Every decision made by the Project Manager has a direct impact on the time, cost, quality, and end goal of a construction project. Having a major role in a construction project, the Project Manager must experience enormous stress caused by the very demanding time pressures, intrinsic uncertainty, and the dynamic social structure of the construction project. The decision making of individuals who work in situations of excessive stress is generally more rigid, simpler, and shallow. However, stress is not necessarily dangerous. Stress stimulus is very important for any successful experience, because it is always accompanied by motivation.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the causes of work stress and work stress, the relationship between behavior in dealing with work stress and work stress, and the relationship between work stress and the performance of building construction project managers in Surabaya. This study used a quantitative approach to primary data, questionnaires were distributed to the manager of the ongoing building construction project in Surabaya. In order to obtain the indicators that affect the latent variables, the Second Order CFA method was used, and to determine the relationship between the latent variables, the SEM Analysis method was conducted.
The results showed that stressors has a positive and significant influence on the work stress variable, which can be concluded that the more stressors experienced by the project manager, the higher the work stress level of the project manager. Another relationship is that the work stress variable has a negative and significant effect on the Project Manager Performance variable, which can be concluded that the higher the work stress level of the project manager, the project manager's performance will decrease. However, no significant relationship was found between the Stress Coping Behavior variable and the Work Stress variable.
This study provides a comprehensive investigation of the impact of different types of stress on the performance of construction project managers. The result is a significant step towards project manager stress management in the dynamic and stressful construction industry.
