Abstract

Material ZIF-8 dan Ni-ZIF-8 dengan variasi Ni (10, 20, dan 50%), telah berhasil disintesis dengan metode in-situ dalam pelarut asam asetat 2% dan air. Pola difraktogram dari material hasil sintesis menunjukkan puncak karakteristik pada 2θ = 7,189; 12,593; 12,595; dan 12,608° yang merupakan puncak material ZIF-8. Penambahan ion Ni2+ tidak mempengaruhi pola difraktogram ZIF-8, serta meningkatkan kapasitas adsorpsi dan aktivitasnya sebagai fotokatalis. Spektra FTIR dari semua material hasil sintesis memiliki puncak serapan gugus fungsi pada bilangan gelombang yang sama dengan material ZIF-8 referensi. Morfologi permukaan material hasil sintesis berupa butiran kristal yang bentuknya mirip dengan material ZIF-8 referensi. Penambahan logam Ni pada kerangka ZIF-8 memberikan pengaruh terhadap morfologi kristal sesuai dengan hasil analisis SEM. Hasil uji fotokatalitik untuk degradasi methylene blue menunjukkan bahwa material Ni(20)ZIF-8 memiliki %removal tertinggi, yaitu sebesar 72,36%, serta waktu kontak optimum 120 menit dengan dosis fotokatalis 15 mg dalam 30 mL larutan methylene blue.

ZIF-8 and Ni-ZIF-8 materials with variations of Ni (10, 20, and 50%), have been successfully synthesized by in-situ method in 2% acetic acid and water as solvent. The diffractogram pattern of the synthesized material shows characteristic peaks at 2θ = 7.189; 12,593; 12,595; and 12.608° which is the peak of ZIF-8 material. The addition of Ni2+ ions did not affect the diffractogram pattern of ZIF-8, and it increased its adsorption capacity and activity as a photocatalyst. The FTIR spectra of all synthesized materials had functional group absorption peaks at the same wave number as the reference ZIF-8 material. The surface morphology of the synthesized material is in the form of crystalline grains that are similar in shape to the reference ZIF-8 material. The addition of Ni metal to the ZIF-8 framework has an effect on the crystal morphology according to the results of SEM analysis. The results of the photocatalytic test for methylene blue degradation showed that the Ni(20)ZIF-8 material had the highest %removal, which was 72.36%, and an optimum contact time of 120 minutes with a photocatalyst dose of 15 mg in 30 mL of methylene blue solution.
