Abstract

Limbah cair industri tahu mengandung bahan organik tinggi seperti protein, karbohidrat, lemak, minyak dan asam amino sehingga menyebabkan pula tingginya kandungan BOD , COD , dan nitrogen. Pengolahan limbah tahu secara biologi merupakan salah satu alternatif. Penggunaan mikroalga sebagai agen fikoremediasi dianggap mampu mengurangi tingkat pencemaran limbah tahu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi Nannochloropsis sp. dalam mereduksi kandungan limbah cair tahu. Metode yang digunakan adalah persiapan bibit Nannochloropsis sp, pembuatan kurva pertumbuhan dan penentuan starter, penentuan waktu panen, perlakuan dan analisis efisiensi pengurangan BOD , COD limbah .Variasi tingkat pengenceran limbah batik pada medium mikroalga meliputi 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%. Data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dihitung dengan Analysis of Variance pada taraf kepercayaan 95 %.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian konsentrasi limbah tahu memberikan pengaruh terhadap kepadatan, laju pertumbuhan mikroalga dan biomassa. Dimana kepadatan dan laju pertumbuhan pada konsentrasi 20 % dan 40 % terdapat beda nyata terhadap konsentrasi 0 % , 60 % , 80 % dan 100 %. Sedangkan biomassa pada perlakuan 40 % dan 80 % memberikan beda nyata terhadap perlakuan 0 %, 20% , 60 % dan 100%. Hasil analisi uji BOD dan COD didapatkan terdapat penurunan saat sebelum perlakuan dan pada akhir perlakuan. , dimana perlakuan konsentrasi limbah tahu 20 % didapatkan penurunan BOD dan COD yang paling besar.

The liquid waste of the tofu industry contains high organic matter such as protein, carbohydrate, fat, oil and amino acids, causing high BOD, COD and nitrogen content. Biologica. The use of microalgae as fikoremediasi is considered able to reduce the level of pollution of tofu waste. This study aims to determine the potential of Nannochloropsis sp in reducing the content of tofu liquid waste. The method used is Nannochloropsis sp preparation, making growth curve and starter determination, timing of harvesting, treatment and efficiency analysis of waste BOD, COD reduction. The quantitative data obtained is calculated by Analysis of Variance at 95% confidence level.
The result show that giving the concentration of tofu liquid waste give influence concerning to density, microalgae growth rate and biomass. The density and growth rate at 20% and 40 % there are obvius difference to 0 % , 60 % , 80%, 100 % concentration. While the biomass at 40 % and 80 % treatmen concentration give real obvious to 0 %, 20% , 60 % dan 100% treatment concentration. The BOD and COD analysis got result about descent while before treatment and the end treatment, where the 20% treatment concentration got the higher of BOD and COD descent.
