Abstract

Pada pabrik gula, proses pemurnian gula menjadi tahapan yang kritis dan penting untuk menghasilkan produk gula berkualitas tinggi. Hasil pada stasiun pemurnian ialah nira jernih dan blotong. Tahap pemurnian ini menghasilkan limbah yang berupa blotong, tetapi seringkali masih terdapat kandungan gula dalam blotong tersebut. Selama nira berada di clarifier dengan temperature yang tinggi, maka akan terjadi pengurangan kadar gula atau terjadi inversi gula sehingga perlu dilakukannya efisiensi dalam hal percepatan proses yang terjadi pada clarifier agar sugar loss (pengurangan kadar gula) bisa diminimalisir dan dapat meningkatkan % Brix pada nira jernih yang keluar pada proses pemurnian, salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah penggantian alat tipe single tray clarifier menjadi LLT Clarifier. Keuntungan LLT Clarifier sebesar 129.847$ tiap juta ton tebu. Berdasarkan perhitungan sebelumnya, jika stasiun pemurnian pada pabrik gula diganti dari multi tray clarifier menjadi LLT Clarifier, dengan kapasitas produksi 7200 TCD, maka didapatkan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 4.181.239.604,00 per tahun dengan payback period 7,42 bulan.

In a sugar factory, the process of refining sugar is a critical and essential stage to
produce high-quality sugar products. The result of the refining process includes clear syrup
(nira jernih) and molasses (blotong). This purification stage generates waste in the form of
molasses, but often still contains sugar content. During the clarification process, when the
syrup is subjected to high temperatures, there is a reduction in sugar content or sugar
inversion. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the efficiency of the clarifier to minimize
sugar loss and increase the % Brix in the clear syrup produced during the purification process.
One of the methods to achieve this is by replacing the existing single tray clarifier with an
LLT Clarifier. The advantages of using the LLT Clarifier are significant, amounting to
$129,847 per million tons of sugarcane processed. Based on the previous calculations, if the
sugar factory's purification station is upgraded from a multi-tray clarifier to an LLT Clarifier,
with a production capacity of 7200 TCD (Tons of Cane per Day), the estimated annual profit
will be Rp. 4,181,239,604.00 with a payback period of 7.42 months.
