Abstract

The main problem in managing high-rise building construction projects in general is communication constraints and data collaboration between stakeholders. This resulted in the design planning process not going well, design approval, design discrepancies with field conditions, so that it became an obstacle to completion. CDE (Common Data Environment) is expected to be a solution in managing project documents and coordinating data collaboration using the BIM platform. This study aims to propose a BIM CDE model for multi-storey building construction projects with a design and build scheme. Identification of CDE variables was obtained from literature studies, interviews with experts and questionnaire-based surveys. Forms of data coordination-collaboration modeling of CDE implementation among stakeholders were discussed with experts/experts through FGDs. For model validation, the Penjaringan Flats Revitalization Project in Jakarta, was used as a case study.
The findings from this study indicate that the implementation of BIM CDE D&B in a case study project can provide process efficiency in coordinating all parties involved in the Design & Build project, regardless of time and place. Discussion of design ideas, mutual approval and data submission can be directly carried out on the BIM CDE D&B platform. In the end, the process of updating changes and making decisions for each party involved in the design and build project can be shortened thereby increasing the efficiency of D&B project collaboration.
