Abstract

The quality of health and wellness of the population in Indonesia is relatively poor. Apart from genetic factors, the quality of lifestyle, health knowledge, and awareness of maintaining health are the factors that most affect a person's quality of life. Health care facilities have four functions, namely curative, promotive, preventive, and rehabilitative. However, in practice, health care facilities are still very much dominated by curative and rehabilitative functions. Many people already have health problems at a young age. This can be reduced through education on the importance of health and fitness as early as possible. This design is an integration of health facilities and public recreation as a space to promote self-awareness related to health and fitness. Unlike the typical health facility that creates a fun health facility, this design shows how a fun public space not only functions as a recreational space, but also education related to the importance of public health from an early age. The kinetic sensory architecture approach becomes an important feature in bridging the existing issues into a new architectural form.
