Abstract

Peran masyarakat dalam menjaga lingkungan dan alam di sekitarnya merupakan suatu hal yang penting. Surabaya memiliki potensi wilayah yang perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan yakni ecotourism mangrove karena ekosistem mangrove memiliki manfaat untuk wilayah kota selain lingkungan juga keselamatan untuk penduduk. Partisipasi masyarakat dibutuhkan salah satunya dengan melakukan kegiatan volunteer. Di Indonesia minat volunteer tourism (voluntourism) semakin meningkat dari beberapa tahun ke belakang dan kesadaran lingkungan mengalami peningkatan pada pariwisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis karakteristik volunteer, faktor yang memengaruhi voluntourism re-intention dengan hubungan antara volunteer attitude dan environmental concern dengan satisfaction serta pengaruh subjective norms dan perceived behavior control. Dalam penelitian ini subjek adalah volunteer lokal yang memiliki pengalaman voluntourism pada objek penelitian ini yakni kawasan ekowisata Mangrove Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuisioner secara online dengan responden merupakan volunteer berusia minimal 17 tahun yang memiliki pengalaman voluntourism pada Ekowisata Mangrove Surabaya dengan minimal pengalaman satu kali dalam tiga tahun terakhir dan hasil data penelitian akan diolah menggunakan metode Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM). Ditemukan hasil dari pengumpulan data 196 responden bahwa seluruh elemen volunteer attitude (selain social function dan value function), perceived behavior control, subjective norms, dan satisfaction mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap voluntourism re-intention. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu pihak pengelola destinasi ecotourism dan penyelenggara kegiatan volunteer guna meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan dan partisipasi volunteer serta menjadi rekomendasi bagi masyarakat melalui implikasi manajerial yang dituju.

The role of society in protecting the environment and the natural surroundings is an important matter. Surabaya has potential areas that need to be maintained and preserved, which is mangrove ecotourism because the mangrove ecosystem has benefits for the city area besides the environment as well as safety for residents. Community participation is needed by doing volunteer activities. Interest in voluntary tourism (voluntourism) in Indonesia has increased over the past few years and environmental awareness has increased in tourism. This research was conducted to analyze the characteristics of volunteers, factors that influence re-intention voluntourism with the relationship between volunteer attitudes and environmental concern with satisfaction and the influence of subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. In this study the subjects were local volunteers who had experience in voluntourism. The object of this research was the Surabaya Mangrove ecotourism area. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires online with respondents being volunteers aged at least 17 years who have voluntourism experience at Ecotourism Mangrove Surabaya with at least one experience in the last three years and the results of the research data will be processed using the Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS- SEM). The results found from collecting data from 196 respondents that all elements of voluntary attitude (besides social function and value function), perceived behavior control, subjective norms, and satisfaction have a significant influence on voluntourism re-intention. This research is expected to help the managers of ecotourism destinations and organizers of volunteer activities to increase the number of tourists and volunteer participation as well as become recommendations for the community through the intended managerial implications.
