Abstract

Air merupakan kebutuhan manusia yang tidak dapat digantikan oleh unsur lain. Surabaya merupakan kota dengan jumlah penduduk tertinggi di Jawa Timur sehingga pemenuhan kebutuhan akan air di kota ini pun cukup tinggi. Kebutuhan manusia akan air tidak hanya pada kuantitas tetapi juga pada kualitasnya. Hal ini disebabkan kualitas air yang buruk dapat mendatangkan penyakit bagi manusia. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas terhadap proses produksi air bersih di PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini untuk memonitoring pergeseran kecil pada rata-rata dan variabilitas proses secara simultan ialah dengan menerapkan diagram kontrol Maximum Multivariate Cumulative SUM (Max-MCUSUM). Variabel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi 4 karakteristik kualitas air, yaitu sisa klor, kekeruhan, pH, dan zat organik (KMnO4) yang masing-masing karakteristik kualitas memliki hubungan. Data penelitian dibagi menjadi dua fase pada periode musim kemarau. Analisis pada fase I didapatkan bahwa diagram belum terkendali secara statistik dimana terjadi pergeseran pada mean dan variabilitas proses sehingga diperlukan penanganan terhadap pengamatan yang out of control. Pada diagram kendali fase II juga ditemukan pengamatan yang out of control sehingga dapat dikatakan proses belum terkendali secara statistik dengan variabel penyebabnya yaitu kekeruhan dan pH. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kapabilitas proses secara univariat masih terdapat satu variabel yang belum memiliki tingkat kepresisian yang cukup baik dalam memenuhi spesifikasi perusahaan, yaitu sisa klor. Jika dilihat dari tingkat keakurasian, masih terdapat dua variabel yang memiliki kinerja tidak cukup baik, yaitu sisa klor dan kekeruhan. Sementara itu, pengukuran secara multivariat diperoleh bahwa proses belum kapabel karena kinerja proses belum memiliki keakurasian yang cukup baik secara keseluruhan dalam memenuhi spesifikasi perusahaan.

Water is a human need that cannot be replaced by other elements. Surabaya is a city with the highest population in East Java so the fulfillment of the need for water in this city is quite high. Human needs for water are not only in quantity but also in quality. It is because poor water quality can bring disease to humans. Therefore, it is necessary to control the quality of the clean water production process at PDAM Surya Sembada Kota Surabaya. The method used in this research for monitoring small shifts in the mean and variability of the process simultaneously is to apply the Maximum Multivariate Cumulative SUM (Max-MCUSUM) control chart. The variables used in this study include 4 water quality characteristics, which are residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, and organic matter (KMnO4), with each quality characteristic having a relationship. The research data was divided into two phases in the dry season period. Analysis in phase I found that the chart was not statistically controlled where there was a shift in the mean and variability of the process so that handling of out of control observations was needed. In phase II control chart, there were also observations that were out of control so it can be said that the process has not been statistically controlled with the variables that caused it, namely turbidity and pH. Based on the results of the univariate process capability analysis, there was still one variable that did not have a good enough level of precision in fulfilling company specifications, which is residual chlorine. Considering the level of accuracy, there were still two variables that did not perform well enough, which are residual chlorine and turbidity. Meanwhile, multivariate measurements obtained that the process has not been capable because the process performance has not had good enough accuracy overall in fulfilling company specifications.
