Abstract

Sebagai salah satu pabrikan komponen otomotif PT Samba Moda Utama berkonsentrasi pada produksi Tube Drain. Agar dapat bersaing dalam industri komponen otomotif serta memenuhi harapan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan proporsi produk lokal, PT Samba Moda Utama harus menjaga dan terus meningkatkan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan dengan melakukan pengendalian kualitas. Karakteristik kualitas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah diameter dalam dan luar, serta panjang dari Tube Drain. Diagram kontrol yang secara bersamaan dapat memantau variabilitas proses dan rata-rata proses secara simultan diantaranya adalah Maximum Multivariat Control Chart (Max-Mchart). Diagram robust digunakan agar diagram kontrol lebih sensitif dalam mendeteksi pengamatan yang out of control dengan menggunakan penduga robust untuk memastikan estimasi parameter berasal dari data yang tidak mengandung outlier. Pada penelitian ini robust Max-Mchart digunakan sebagai metode pengendalian kualitas statistika pada produksi Tube Drain di PT Samba Moda Utama dengan menggunakan penduga robust Fast Minimum Covariance Determinant (Fast-MCD). Pengendalian kualitas Tube Drain menggunakan diagram robust Max-Mchart sebelum mesin rusak pada fase 1 berhasil mendeteksi 1 pengamatan out of control. Pada fase 2 menunjukkan tidak adanya pengamatan out of control yang teridentifikasi. Diagram robust Max-Mchart setelah mesin diperbaiki pada fase 1 tidak ada pengamatan yang out of control. Pada fase 2 menunjukkan adanya 3 pengamatan out of control. Identifikasi karakteristik kualitas penyebab pengamatan out of control pada diagram robust Max-Mchart baik sebelum mesin rusak maupun setelah perbaikan mesin disebabkan oleh ketiga karakteristik kualitas diameter dalam, diameter luar, dan panjang Tube Drain. Hasil perhitungan indeks kapabilitas secara multivariat sebelum mesin mengalami kerusakan diperoleh nilai 〖MWC〗_pk sebesar 0,944 yang berarti hasil produksi Tube Drain sebelum mesin rusak secara keseluruhan belum sesuai dengan spesifikasi perusahaan, sehingga proses dapat dikatakan belum kapabel. Hasil perhitungan indeks kapabilitas secara multivariat setelah perbaikan mesin diperoleh nilai 〖MWC〗_pk sebesar 1,549 yang berarti hasil produksi Tube Drain setelah mesin diperbaiki secara keseluruhan sudah sesuai dengan spesifikasi perusahaan, sehingga proses dapat dikatakan sudah kapabel.

As one of the automotive component manufacturers, PT Samba Moda Utama concentrates on the production of Tube drains. In order to be able to compete in the automotive component industry and meet the government's expectations to increase the proportion of local products, PT Samba Moda Utama must maintain and continue to improve the quality of the products it produces by carrying out quality control. The quality characteristics used in this study were the inside and outside diameters and the length of the Drain Tube. Control charts that can simultaneously monitor process variability and process averages include the Maximum Multivariate Control Chart (Max-Mchart). Robust diagrams are used so that control charts are more sensitive at detecting observations that are out of control by using robust estimators to ensure that parameter estimates come from data that does not contain outliers. In this study, a robust Max-Mchart was used as a statistical quality control method for Tube Drain production at PT Samba Moda Utama using a robust Fast Minimum Covariance Determinant (Fast-MCD) estimator. Tube Drain quality control uses a robust Max-Mchart diagram before the machine is damaged in phase 1 and successfully detects one out-of-control observation. In phase 2, it shows that there are no identified out-of-control observations. Robust Max-Mchart diagram after the engine was repaired in phase 1, there were no out-of-control observations. Phase 2 shows that there is three out-of-control observation. Identification of the quality characteristics that cause out-of-control observations on the robust Max-Mchart diagram both before the machine is damaged and after the engine repair is caused by the three quality characteristics of the inside diameter, outside diameter, and length of the Tube Drain. The results of the calculation of the multivariate capability index before the engine was damaged obtained a value of 〖MWC〗_pk of 0.944, which means that the production of Tube Drain before the engine was damaged as a whole did not comply with the company's specifications, so the process could be said to be incapable. The results of the multivariate capability index calculation after engine repairs obtained a 〖MWC〗_pk value of 1.549, which means that the production of Tube Drain after the engine has been repaired as a whole is in accordance with company specifications, so the process can be said to be capable.
