Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dalam pembuatan lapisan tipis struktur tiga lapis dengan bahan Polystyrene 3% dan PMMA 2% pada substrat microscop slides dengan metode Spin Coating. Metode Spin Coating merupakan metode yang relatif mudah dilakukan dan mampu menghasilkan lapisan yang bagus. Proses Spin Coating tersebut dilakukan dengan variasi kecepatan pemutaran yaitu 1000 rpm. 1500 rpm dan 2000 rpm serta variasi waktu pemutaran yaitu 30 detik dan 60 detik. Hasil dari pelapisan dilakukan proses pemanasan menggunakan Hot Plate pada temperatur 90°C selama 10 menit. Pengaruh kecepatan putar berdampak pada ketebalan lapisan. Kecepatan 2000 rpm menghasilkan ketebalan yang lebih tipis dari kecepatan 1000 rpm dan 1500 rpm, karena semakin besar kecepatannya maka semakin banyak larutan yang terpencar keluar substrat sehingga ketebalannya menjadi lebih tipis. Lapisan tipis diamati dengan menggunakan mikroskop. Ketebalan lapisan tipis menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya kecepatan putar

Research has been carried out in making three-layer structure thin films using 3% Polystyrene and 2% PMMA on microscope slides substrates using the Spin Coating method. The Spin Coating method is a method that is relatively easy to do and is capable of producing a good coating. The Spin Coating process is carried out with variations in rotation speed, namely 1000 rpm. 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm and variations in playback time, namely 30 seconds and 60 seconds. The results of the coating are heated using a Hot Plate at a temperature of 90°C for 10 minutes. The effect of rotational speed has an impact on the layer thickness. A speed of 2000 rpm produces a thinner thickness than a speed of 1000 rpm and 1500 rpm, because the greater the speed, the more solution is dispersed out of the substrate so that the thickness becomes thinner. The thin layer is observed using a microscope. The thickness of the film decreases with increasing rotational speed
