Abstract
Telah dilakukan pembuatan sensor TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter dengan menggunakan prinsip konduktivitas, dan pembuatan alat pengukur level air dengan menggunakan sensor Ultrasonic Range Detector PING))). Sistem pengendalian dan monitoring secara otomatis dikerjakan oleh mikrokontroler Atmega16 dan PC. Pada tugas akhir ini dirancang sebuah mini plant untuk kontrol otomatisasi proses pengendapan air CaCO3 dalam air. Sistem pemantauan dan pengendalian dirancang secara waktu nyata berupa nilai TDS dari air sampel dan level ketinggian air pada tangki hasil pengolahan. Data Keluaran sensor TDS dan level akan diproses oleh mikrokontroler ATMega16 yang selanjutnya dikirim melalui komunikasi serial dengan USB yang disambungkan ke komputer sehingga dapat ditampilkan di layar monitor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sistem ini dapat bekerja dengan baik ketika melakukan monitoring TDS control dari 356ppm menjadi 300ppm pada level 50%

TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and water level sensors have successfully been fabricated. The TDS sensor has been designed and fabricated based on principle of conductivity whilst the water level sensor has been fabricated using sensor of Ultrasonic Range Detector PING)). In this study, an automatic control system has been performed using microcontroller ATMega16 and Personal Computer (PC) for controlling and monitoring the precipitation process of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in water using electron discharge and magnetic field methods. Measured data by TDS and water level sensors will be processed by microcontroller ATMega16 and then, the data will be sent to computer via a serial communication with USB interface. Monitoring data will be displayed in a computer screen. The result showed that the system could be used to control level of TDS at 356 to 300 ppm for water level at 50%.
