Abstract

Kemasan plastik banyak digemari konsumen dan mulai menggeser kemasan lain seperti kemasan gelas dan kertas. Meskipun demikian, konsumsi plastik di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Kurangnya konsumsi plastik di Indonesia diindi-kasikan akibat kurang baiknya kualitas kemasan plastik yang dihasilkan pabrik-pabrik di Indonesia. PT. AAM merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri kemasan botol plastik. Salah satu produk kemasan plastik yang dihasilkan adalah botol Chamomile 60 ml. Dalam pembuatan produk tersebut terdapat 2 karakteristik kualitas yang penting untuk diperhatikan yaitu volume isi botol dan diameter mulut dalam botol. Selain itu dalam memproduksi produk Chamomile 60 ml, hal yang perlu diperhatikan adalah bagaimana setting parameter temperatur barrel, blowing time, dan blowing pressure untuk memperoleh volume isi botol dan diameter mulut dalam botol yang optimum. Amrillah (2006) melakukan optimasi menggunakan response surface pendekatan fungsi desirability dan memperoleh composite desirability sebesar 0,534. Peneliti melakukan penelitian menggunakan data yang sama dengan Amrillah (2006) namun menerapkan metode yang berbeda yaitu multi response surface pendekatan fuzzy programming dan hasil yang diperoleh lebih baik dari penelitian Amrillah (2006) dengan composite desirability 0,665.

Plastic packaging is loved by most of consumer and began to shift other packaging such as glass and paper packages. Nevertheless, plastic consumption in Indonesia is still low. Lack of plastic consumption in Indonesia is indicated due to lack of good quality plastic produced by Indonesian factories. PT. AAM is a company that is engaged in plastic bottle manufacturing. One of their product is Chamomile 60 ml bottle. In this product, there are 2 important quality characteristics to be noted, they are volume and inner mouth diameter of bottle. In producing Chamomile 60 ml bottle, thing to note is how to setting barrel temperature, blowing time, and blowing pressure to obtain the volume and inner mouth diameter optimum. Amrillah (2006) conducted a study on the response surface optimation using desirability function approach and obtained composite desirability of 0,534. Inthis research, we conducted the study using the same data with Amrillah (2006) but employ different methods, namely multi response surface using fuzzy programming approach to obtain better results than Amrillah (2006). With composite desirability 0,665.
