Abstract

Pada CPA Pertamina - Petrochina Tuban, crude oil booster pump merupakan bagian vital untuk menunjang proses produksi. Crude oil booster pump digunakan untuk mendistribusikan crude oil dari tangki penampungan menuju heat exchanger. Instalasi crude oil booster pump ini disusun secara parallel dengan dua pompa yang beroperasi. Pada tugas akhir ini bertujuan melakukan perencanaan ulang instalasi dan pemilihan pompa yang sesuai dengan instalasi crude oil booster pump. Selain itu, kecepatan aliran di dalam pipa harus sesuai dengan range kecepatan aliran yang diijinkan berdasarkan fluida kerjanya. Oleh karena itu, perhitungan kapasitas, daya, efisiensi, dan head efektif instalasi dilakukan secara manual dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow expert. Pada perhitungan ulang didapat diameter pipa baru sesuai dengan kecepatan aliran yang diijinkan beserta nilai kapasitas setiap pompa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan crude oil sebesar 66,15 m3/h dengan Heff sebesar 66,009 m dan NPSHA sebesar 5,691 m serta didapatkan daya pompa sebesar 15,331 kW. Dengan kebutuhan tersebut, maka dipilih pompa sentrifugal type Ebara 65-250/30.

At CPA Pertamina – Petrochina Tuban, crude oil booster pump is the most important object to support the production process. Crude oil booster pump is used to distribute crude oil from crude oil storage tank to the heat exchanger. The crude oil booster pump which arranged by parallel installation with two pumps has operated. The object of this final project, to redesign of installation and select of pump which appropriate for crude oil booster pump installation. Moreover, the inside pipe flow rate’s velocity must be suitable with flow rate’s velocity is allowed to based on this working fluids. So, the calculation of capacity, power, efficiency, and effective head installation with manual and numeric by pipe flow expert. On the calculation, capacity of each pump to production process generated by 66.15 m3/h with an effective head installation (Heff) is 66.009 m, NPSHA is 5.691 m and power of pump is 15.331 kW. So that, the result of these calculation can be choosen as the brand reselected of single stage type pump with Ebara 65-250/30.
